Today you could convince me that it is fall. I am sure it is just a temporary change though.
There is a pleasant breeze, but lots of sun. I can hear the birds around as well.
I have already done more work today than I do in some weeks, but I am ready for a second cup of coffee and a snack.
Some things that have been misplaced have shown up in plain sight.
I have made some yummy food for later.
Poor kitties will not know what to think when I start being gone all the time. In their humble opinion I should be a constant source of food.
I am ready for fall, I think.
Big thing today is I am hoping for some award letters in the mail for this year from Social Security. The grant people need them. Our tax preparer kept them. I would like to have those two pieces of mail and send verification things off to the agency. It is called SCKEDD, if you see me post about that in the future.

It was nice while it lasted here. The wheels of bureaucracy grind very slowly, but I hope it is worth it in the end.

I would love to have a 'temporary fall' here right now. We are having 95 averaging temp days. I hope you get those award letters. So important to have.

Got them and got them mailed off. This week we will be over 100 all week, starting today, Saturday, and going until next Saturday.

We were approved once before, but certain anomalies in our house did not qualify. Some rules have been either changed or circumvented and they are pretty sure we will be a pilot case for them.

I'm glad we're getting some decent temps for a little while and the storms are done for now. We're still under a flood watch until 4 pm today. We got a LOT of rain this weekend.

@GardenGerty We will have them again. The water in the culvert stopped running yesterday so the puddles formed again for the mosquitoes to lay eggs in.

I was rudely awakened at 2:30 this morning by a thunderstorm that stuck around for 3 hours. It cleared the air nicely of humidity and the cooler air is welcomed.

We just had several days of highs only in the 70's, and one night it actually got down to 50. I enjoyed those days. But now, we are in for a butt-kicking heat wave of really hot days starting tomorrow. I am not thrilled. I just hope my AC behaves, if not, it will be unbearable.
Poor kitties...maybe some special treats and extra cuddles will help out.
