I'm sure you have all heard that Rosalynn Carter has passed away at 96. Condolences to all her family and friends.
Booth's, an upscale grocery store in the UK has gotten rid of their self-checkouts and will only use real people after receiving complaints from customers. I know that I've heard a lot of feedback here in the US when it comes to self-checkouts...how if we wanted to check out our own groceries we would get a job at the store, etc. Kudos to Booth's for keeping people in their checkout lines.
120 days until spring.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Macaroni bean soup
Dessert/Snack - Blueberry muffin and decaf coffee
Dinner - Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
What did you eat yesterday?

I have read of Rasalynn Carter, she had a long life.
We scan our grocery store card, we grab a device at the entrance and we scan our goods as we put them in the shopping kart. I love this system so much, no one can touch what I buy and this is particularly important now with the cold, the flu and the Covid around.

@LindaOHio This system was introduced 5 years ago, no cashiers lost their jobs and no cashiers would have been hired anyway, so people waited in line, while now those who prefer not to wait have a system to avoid lines. There is always a right way to do things.

@LindaOHio Yeah. I don't think it will be much longer. I heard he's in hospice care.

I’ve read that Walmart is considering getting rid of self-checkout, NOT because of the tons of complaints but because of the huge shoplifting losses.
Yesterday was CTS and chicken & rice soup.
Rey sad about Mrs. Carter, and I don’t expect the president to last much longer without his rock.

I can't remember breakfast yesterday. I remember eating black grapes and a sausage, egg and cheese croissant for supper last night, though.

I like self checkout to a certain extent...because it is a pain to stand in a long line if you just have a few items. Yesterday umm lets see..I made a small pizza out of a tortilla. It was pretty good and also inexpensive and relatively low in calories. love bean soup.

So sad about Roselynn but even sadder about Jimmy being left behind, I am sure through the sorrow he will join her soon. I had fried and hot dogs,

Sad to hear about Rosalind Carter but she did have a long life.
I read both positive and negative things about self-check outs. I think they come in handy but I also think there should be more in person check-outs available for those who don't want to do it themselves.

I read that store here, Wal Mart and another one may Dollar General are going to scale back on self check out because of complaints and shop lifting. Perhaps they should have thought about that before placing so many in their stores.
Yesterday we had cottage cheese, boiled egg and toast. Tuna sandwich for lunch and hot dogs and baked beans for supper.

Yes, sometimes they don't consider all the options and reasoning behind their choices.
