6/7/24 - Update on My husband

They've started my husband's physical therapy on stairs! He actually did pretty well. This is the first step into getting him home. He still has trouble getting up from a sitting position.

It is great he did well on the stairs. Keep him accountable in terms of doing those exercises on the weekend so he can be ready come Monday to hopefully practice getting up from a chair or bed or what not. It is exciting he is progressing.

@LindaOHio But they need to gradually ease him into this. It could be too much piling on too much at one time.

Friday they worked him really hard. Hubby was sore and exhausted. I think he needs more of this as long as his heart can take it.

That’s such a major breakthrough!!!! I hope he can get to work on getting out of bed and a chair soon, too!

That's awesome news, So glad to hear that they
are doing something, I hope he can come home in a few wks.
I know when they were helping me in therapy with steps & walking
it was a good feeling from laying in bed but it wore me out as well too.1 person likes this

He needs to practice the exercises that they give him so he will be fit and ready to come home. I am glad they are getting him to practice stairs as he cannot do that by himself.
