2/19/25 - Update

30 days until spring. It was 4 degrees F (minus 15 Celsius) here last night; but it will warm up to above freezing by the weekend. We are on the downside of winter now thank goodness.
I am spending a lot of time on the phone asking questions about all the paperwork that must be completed. I also must go to the bank, Title Bureau, Courthouse, Auditor's Office to complete the transfer of the vehicles, house, bank accounts, etc. I still haven't figured out some of the paperwork for transfer of partial pension and release of insurance funds to me.
Speaking of the phone. I am still dealing with Spectrum and Kinetic/Windstream regarding the transfer of my phone number. I'm ready to call a lawyer.
One of our dear MyLotters sent me some goodies. I really appreciate it; but please, dear members, don't spend your money on me!!!!
I think about you every day; and as soon as I make some headway with these calls, paperwork and taxes, I will return. I can't imagine all the news that I am missing.

Winter is kicking my butt as usual, but I admit it is getting harder and harder to deal with. The goal is still to become snowbirds in Florida through it, but we have a couple of years until that's practical.
As for the other stuff, it seems very daunting. Hopefully you can get it all done and I am sure you will be glad to finally be done with it.
Good to see you here when you can be with us, as always, and hang in there. You got this, and we've got you.

When I get all this ridiculous paperwork filed and the taxes done, I will be back. It's s**wing here today; and I'm so over it. It will be 42 on Monday; and I look forward to the melting. Thank you for your support.

Hey sweetie!!! I pray for you every day! Hope someone (ask the people at hospice, or an AARP chapter, the library, or some senior advocacy group) can help you with that paperwork.
I took a trip, you missed that. 
I’m freezing my butt off, and you’re unfortunately NOT missing that.
Love the cute puppy. (As you can tell by my avatar, I’m always a sucker for cute puppies!)

@LindaOHio — Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Started in a state park, ended in a national historical park. Ate in a lot of Chuy’s along the way.

Glad to hear from you again. It takes a lot to get things done. . Maybe call an attorney to help with that stuff. I know paperwork has to be filled out perfectly or they will reject it.

@LindaOHio It can be worth it. We went through that with his mom. Just getting the car transferred would have been a huge headache without using an attorney.
