Do you get disappointed when…?

My former manager was like that, very uninterested and really down for most things she could have been up for.

Yes, same as you. My father was the one who always showed enthusiasm, while my Mom was the kind who always made me disappointed.

No, I figure they aren't as interested in my life as I am... and I can't blame them for that. We all have different things we care about and think about.

Ugh, yah, I've been through that kind of disappointment. I guess it's especially disappointing for me because I do try to be a cheerleader when I hear good news from others . . . but I don't necessary get the pom-pom sis boom bah for my news.

It is definitely a let down when I expect more enthusiasm from someone.

I can get quite excited about some things, even just a lovely-looking tree, but sometimes others look at me like I'm a bit demented. lol

Some people underplay their true emotions. Thankfully, a few are more enthused than us and make it clear too.

I don't have much expectations for most people these days so I don't often get disappointed.

I don't recall, but I know I would feel let down too. Just don't have many people to share news with in life in general anymore.

It is such a letdown when that happens, as you expected the other person to share equally in your excitement.

Yeah, I get that. In a way, it does sting a little, but I try not to take it personally. I’ve learned it usually says more about where they’re at than about me or what I shared.

Yes, it's a let-down when we tell something important and special, and the person we are sharing with doesn't really share our excitement like we thought they would Which is not good in a way--it's important to many to share special things, and if you don't get a good reaction/response, you will probably hesitate to share again, at least with that person. I'm sorry you were let down, Amber. .

i did get this or when something bad happens, it's just i'm sorry and they shift to the next topic but yes, i don't like when i am cheering for other people and they can't do that for me like, come one, it's not that hard
