5/8/25 - Meals

The 28 most populous cities in the US are sinking due to the weight of the people, drought and/or rising sea levels. The Pope has been chosen; and he is American for the first time ever. My doctor's appointment went OK. My housekeeper dropped me off at the house and left right away. I thought she might do a few things, but no. She did stop at Dairy Queen for me to pick up dinner. Breakfast - PB&J sandwich Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, peaches Dessert/Snack - Banana walnut muffin Dinner - Dairy Queen Honey Barbecue Chicken Strips Basket - chicken strips, garlic bread, fries What did you eat yesterday? They didn't take very long to elect a new Pope. I hope he will be able to do a lot of good but it won't be an easy task.

I was really surprised that the new Pope is American. Your meals look good. I love stuffed cabbage even though we don't eat it very often.

@porwest It's really easy. I cut out the hard, stiff vein in the middle of the cabbage. Makes them easy to roll.

It's not too bad for being Meals on Wheels.

Stuffed cabbage, or cabbage rolls as I like to call them, are something I love to eat, but could never, for the life of me, ever get the damn rolls right. I'm sure there's a trick I'm missing. Why I haven't checked YouTube yet is beyond me.

Yesterday, I had an omelette that I ate throughout the day. I guess it was a big one because it lasted the whole day; ham, green and red bell peppers, and cheddar cheese.

The housekeeper must have been in a hurry. What was your appointment for? I have one today as well. Glad yours went okay. That’s very interesting about the cities sinking.

@porwest By the hour. She used to take me to see my husband, to doctors' appointments, etc. with only an occasional $20 for gas. Now she wants to be paid by the hour.

Interesting. There are just too many people in the world. An American? Cool. I hope he is half as good as the last one was. What's with these people? Will she be back tomorrow or what?

Woot woot about your doc visit. Yesterday was an iffy food day. Hubby went to lunch with his Pastor and came home with a large sandwich for me. So supper was simple: plain Greek yogurt with thawed fruit and a couple home cookies.
