Songs That Are Your Own Personal H*ll

I am relating a story that I read last year on Yahoo News, I believe. A man who had clinically died for ten minutes (this is documented, I have no explanation) was brought back, and said he had gone to Hell when he was dead. He turned his life around after that. That’s not my point although I’m thrilled he became a better person. He said while he was in hell there were two songs that kept playing: “Umbrella” by Rihanna and “Don’t Worry be Happy” by Bobby McFerrin. He also talked about demons, but that’s another discussion. That part got me thinking. What two songs would you have to hear repeatedly for you to consider it Hell? Mine would be (strangely perhaps) “If You’re Going Through Hell” by Rodney Atkinson, and “The Final Countdown” by Performer. Two very different genres of music, but those are my two choices. What about you?

@snowy22315 I absolutely HATE that reindeer song. I would try to join a world wide movement to get it banned from EVER being played on the air, ever again. Ugh.

Every time something sad happens I hear “Imagine”. It just makes me feel worse.

Mine would be Baby by Justin Bieber, and Just Lose it by Eminem. Both of those songs I find highly annoying.

Musical ignoramus that I am, I don't know either of your songs. There are a couple of country ones that are pretty bad. Coward of the Country would be one. I can't think of the other at the moment.

Oh, Kenny Rogers! That one really bothers me. Of mine, one song is country, and the other, I think, is hair metal.

@JudyEv That is what they called late 70s and 80s metal music because the men had long hair that was teased with hair spray to be really high.

oh this one is easy. No thought required--Brown Eyed Girl and American Pie. I do like "If you're going through hell". I saw Rodney Atkins open for Toby Keith many years ago.

I think my disdain for the Rodney Atkins song was from my coworker playing it constantly when I worked at a children’s mental hospital. She played it so often her CD warped.

@sallypup Listening to the song constantly? It made me realize how fitting it was to be in a mental hospital. But working in the mental hospital itself was just sad.

Da' Turdy Point Buck-- a Yooper song Bob introduced me too. and "Where or Where Can My Baby Be?" (very old, sixties, I think) Sad song, and at church camp we got into a lights out theological discussion about why a Christian would not listen to it. Like sixty years ago.

He must have been really bad, most either have the heavenly experience or see nothing when they die.

One of them would be Who Let the Dogs Out, I despise that song, and probably Jesus Take the Wheel, not a fan of that one either.

Any rap or heavy metal music. I can sing two songs in my head; but I don't know the names of the songs or the artists.
