The Council on Aging lady came yesterday, asked about 1,000 questions and approved me for Meals on Wheels for another year.
Today someone is coming out to peruse my weeds and offer a solution.
Spoke with gravel guy yesterday. He can't work and was told to do NOTHING. He says he's taking it day by day.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Tomato basil chicken, spaghetti, spinach, mixed veggies, peaches
Dessert/Snack - Blueberry muffin, ice cream bar, string cheese (I have to start eating more dairy because of the Osteopenia.)
Dinner - Buffalo chicken/Provolone sandwich and chips
What did you eat yesterday?

I'm glad you got approved for another year.
I ate watermelon for breakfast, had a hot ham and cheese sandwich for lunch and no supper.

@LindaOHio - Once a lot of what we needed to do is done, we can relax.

Things aren't as bad now that I don't have several home projects being done.

Tuesday--Protein Cinnamon Cheerios and a banana, coffee throughout the day.
Lunch--canned salmon, cutie orange, some , pita chips
Supper--hot dog, home made pea salad, Biscoff cookies
Glad that appointment is behind you. Does the Counsel on Aging lady have any more suggestions about keeping your home up--like people who will come work?

Yes I have 4 lists that I requested - yard work, home help, plumbers and handymen. It's funny that you mentioned Biscoff Cookies. Cousin #2 brought me a package last week.

One of these days you will catch a good break. lol
For dinner, being my last night as a "bachelor," I just ate the last of the burgers we had leftover with some coleslaw. It fit the bill well enough. Incidentally, the plan for tonight is hamburgers on the grill, and I have to admit, I might be getting sick of hamburgers. lol

@LindaOHio Oh man, fish on the grill is good too. I like to make it wrapped in tin foil with lots of goodness in it. But of course, you have to like fish.

Friend was here, and we had a busy day so we got pizza from a place so have been wanting to try. I am going to try a vinegar baking soda combo on the weeds.

I left from home with the local Chuy’s, having the usual (chicken taco). Dinner was next door at an Applebee’s, with a kid’s taco and bowl of broccoli that was absolutely delicious! Not good enough to make me eat at Applebee’s repeatedly, but if I have to eat there again I’ll know what to order.
Did the Council on Aging lady offer any tips or assistance for other things, or was she just there to give you the 3rd degree about what you eat?

Glad that you got approved for MOW for another year. I didn't think you wouldn't get approved but it's nice to get that off your mind.
W just had another easy night of no cooking....grilled chicken on salad.

I don't like premade meals like that but I KNOW there
may be a time in my life I'll be there & well, I will just
say I rather starve than to eat that stuff, but that's just me.
I remember the junky food they tried to get me to eat in
the rehab & I past it up for a bowl of raisin bran cereal

The meals are much better than rehab. There are actually some that are my favorites.
