Lack of Sleep Concerns

As most of you know, I have a tremendous problem trying to sleep. I get no more than 4 hours of sleep a day; and it's not unusual for me to be up 24-48 hours at a time. I'm always tired; and I know that lack of sleep can cause many negative impacts to the body.
Here are some of them: blood pressure changes, heart rate changes, bags and dark circles under the eyes, memory and learning challenges, weakened immune system, increased risk for heart disease and diabetes, sensitivity to pain, headaches and migraines, joint pain, increased risk of kidney disease, increased hunger especially for sweet, salty and starchy foods, weight gain, risk of major depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety and stress cognitive issues, higher risk of dementia, lack of balance, lower sex drive and gastrointestinal issues.
How is your sleep?

I don't have such a problem as you, thankfully, but I do tend to wake up early and I also get a 'second wind' later in the evening - so I often feel very sleepy in the afternoon and resolve to go to bed early - but then about 9pm I revive and think I will do a few more things, so I don't get to bed until 11 or 12. I do worry that it will affect my cognitive abilities.

Pretty good no complsints. Have you tried melatonin or OTC sleep aids.?Your doctor should also help you out with a prescription med if OTC doesn't work for you. There are lots if things online to help with sleep. Try youtube..and good luck!

I sleep two to four hours at a time but average around 8 hours in a day. I talked with my doctor about it and she said as long as I'm still getting the 8 hours a day, I should be okay.
I wish you could get more sleep than you do.

@DaddyEvil Nothing. He keeps offering me sleeping pills; but I've tried most of them; and they don't work.

My sleep is mostly good but insufficient on the weekdays.
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night but not too frequently.
Lack of sleep does causes a lot of problems.

Thankfully I sleep pretty well but occasionally I have trouble. On those days I can feel the difference and practically drag myself through the day.

I sleep a good amount, usually tossing and turning every hour or two, but I sleep a lot. Probably too much.

I think I get about six hours a night. I have been waking up early this last week or so. I aim to be in bed by 9, but usually it is closer to ten. I have been awake since 4 this morning. I was up once during the night.

That's good that you are healthy. I've had this problem for several years now. It's 2:30 am. I'm usually here around that time each morning.
