There are various kinds of food in the buffet. Sometimes it may give us a headache which to choose. Normally I will choose the seafood at first as it is the expensive food Then I will choose steak because I like it. I hardly choose pizza although it is one of my favorite food since it will easily make me feel full What about you?

I don't eat much desserts like cakes since they will make me full. I will choose fruits instead as I think they can be helpful for me to eat more other food

@youless Buffets are rare for me. Eating ice creams, falooda and such once in a way will not make me fat

It depends on what type of buffet it is. One place Pretty and I used to go all the time is a Thai food buffet. I always got small portions of pastas and meats to try them and then went back for the ones I thought the most delicious. I also like the dessert section and would get small servings of each of those on a plate and then go back for the best tasting ones.

There's no Thai buffet near where I live. Plenty of Indian ones though.

@youless One good thing about a buffet, you can find something you like no matter which part of the buffet you go to.

I choose what I usually do not prepare at home because it's difficult to make. Never pasta and pizza, I can do that at home. As I only went to buffets in the United States, my choice was for Prime Rib, shrimps and lobsters.

@youless I love lobsters, but they are very expensive here in Europe. Desserts are usually not good at buffets.

@youless I ate salad to protect my tummy from all the protein and carbs. I read that somewhere, I think I prefer desserts to fruits

In all honesty, I am not a fan of buffets. I've seen so many people touch foods inappropriately, pick up foods or utensils and then put them back, sneeze or cough around the food...it's just a mental overload for me. I am not a clean freak, I know there are germs all over the world. However, it is just too hard to do any type of quality control with a busy buffet.

I agree that eating in buffet is not a very healthy way since it's bad for the stomach to eat so much suddenly.

@youless So many buffet foods are really unhealthy. Overly processed ingredients, tons of sugars and carbs, and all of those fancy desserts usually arrive at the restaurants frozen. I would rather eat one plate of food and call it enough.

It kind of despends on what is available. I usually will go for beef and seafood, and always save room for dessert.

I don't go a lot but when I do, I usually went for the steaks (meats) and tried to get something they just refilled so it was nice and fresh.
