Today (8/20) is my husband's Heavenly Birthday. He would have been 84. (He robbed the cradle.) It's a sad, sad day. Took cousin #3 to Red Lobster last night. It's a perk of working for me; but it also is her Birthday this coming Sunday so that worked out. The table was loaded with food. It looked like 12 people were there. She had the Ultimate Feast. She had a lobster tail, coconut shrimp, shrimp scampi and crab legs...then as sides she had a baked potato topped with crab and Brussels sprouts. We put ourselves into a food coma. For me, it was good to get out. We took home dessert -- I had the Brownie Overload; and she had Key lime pie. We finally got some much needed rain. It's going to be under ***70F*** (21 Celsius) on Monday!!!!!!! Breakfast - Protein bar Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Chicken breast stuffed with broccoli, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, roll, pears Dessert/Snack - A slice of a little 5" Birthday cake I bought for my husband's Birthday. Dinner - Red Lobster - Cheddar Bay Biscuits, crab stuffed mushrooms, clam strips, bay scallops, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, Brownie Overload I have plenty left over for dinner tonight. What did you eat yesterday? Photo Credit: Pixabay

I'm glad you got to go out and enjoy lunch with Cousin #3 and hope she enjoyed it just as much! Next Monday the high is supposed to be 76F but the temp will start climbing every day after that. Breakfast yesterday was scrambled eggs with onions, bell peppers and ham... I ate two cartons of Hiland Cherry yogurt for lunch yesterday and Pretty baked that huge pan of lasagna we bought last week. I had a modest slice of it for supper last night before putting the rest in the fridge.

Cousin #3 always eats as if she hasn't eaten in a week. It's quite entertaining to watch.

@DaddyEvil Not including beverage, sides and dessert, her entree was $44.99. She had no qualms about ordering an expensive meal. That was OK because I paid for it out of my "mad money"...money from surveys and MyLot.

I hope it will cool off soon here in Oklahoma. I’m glad you enjoyed your food so much. Yesterday, I had a big bowl of strawberries, grapes, and blueberries, and a ham and Turkey with cheddar on sourdough bread.

Oh that all sounds so good. It is still hot here. For breakfast I ate shredded wheat, two pieces of toast. I worked and at lunch I had a small treat someone brought plus a small cucumber with hummus. I had smoked sausage with sauteed broccoli slaw for supper.

You are very generous to treat her as you did. We had rain yesterday and it is still misty raining this morning. Our highs are quite cool for the next few days, it has been that way all week so far too.

I use my mad money to pay for dinners out -- Money that I've earned from surveys, MyLot, etc. That way we can splurge without my worrying about the cost!!!

My husband is close to yours in age, he is 80, I am 5 years younger. I am glad you could go to Red Lobster, I imagine you brought home more than only the dessert, who can eat so much food?

I have enough food for dinner tonight. I was 18 and my husband was 25 when we started dating...and I was very naive.

Glad you had a good dinner. Happy birthday to your hubby in heaven. Maybe it's something about the birth date. Hubby is 17 years older than me.

Hugs for you Linda. I know it must be a hard day for you as it's your hubbys birthday. Wow you and cousin #3 really had a feast at Red Lobster. I'm glad you were able to go out and enjoy some time away from the house. Plus you brought home extra
