Today (8/25) cousin #2 will be coming over to do her usual -- pick up groceries, make sandwiches and take out the trash.
I finally have a new dentist appointment coming up Thursday. I hope he will fill the tooth that lost the filling twice already. I also have the bad root canal tooth to address. I can't get my teeth cleaned until February as they are booked solid.
I read that Howard Stern is thinking about retiring. He was making an astounding $90 million per year with his radio show. Stern is said to be worth $650 million.
The PowerBall jackpot is up to $750 million.
Breakfast - PB&J sandwich
Lunch - Chicken egg rolls, chocolate oat milk ice cream
Dessert/Snack - Blueberry muffin
Dinner - PB&J, tortilla chips
What did you eat yesterday? What did you do over the weekend?

Chicken soft tacos at Chuy’s for lunch (on the patio, so refreshing!), yogurt and blueberry sorbet for snack, egg white @ taters for dinner, peach applesauce and fiber!

@LindaOHio — no. I have jury duty for two months (on call, that is), and by then it’ll be colder weather. I might go out for a couple of days if the weather is good and the leaves are still on the trees.

@FourWalls I've never heard of jury duty for 2 months! I served on a trial about 30 years ago.

@LindaOHio - I only go once a year, while my husband needs to go twice. I am lucky with my teeth.

Whatchamacallit? Dirty rice? A Hamburger Helper of sorts? I browned some ground beef, drained it and set it aside. Then I cooked up some green pepper and onions—I already had some Jasmine rice cooking on the next over burner. Added the beef back in with some Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder along with some oregano, then added in a brown gravy packet with some water and stirred in the rice and voila! Dinner was served whatever the hell you might call it. It was very good eats. lol
As for Stern, he's definitely done good for himself. Probably the highest paid radio jockey on the planet. Rush Limbaugh was paid a salary of $85 million a year.

@porwest The fact that they can pay such salaries only shows how much $$ they were drawing in. Amazing.

All that food sounds new to me. But while learning Spanish for travel and tours I happened to come across "Tortillas" several times and I later came to learn that its equivalent over here is "Chapati"

I still haven't been to see a dentist about that molar that broke last winter. Medicaid assigned me to a dental clinic in Republic (20 miles away). When I try to make an appointment, they tell me I'm a new patient and new patients have to be seen within 7 days and they don't have any openings available.
If that molar starts hurting, THEN I can get an "emergency" appointment and they'll see me.

@LindaOHio But it isn't and, as long as it isn't hurting, I'll wait.

Root canal work is not nice ….
Yesturday we had a day out …had cooked brekkie before we went out ….full English cooked by The Mister. Nachos as a snack then The Mister had gammon, egg, pineapple, chips and peas. I could only manage a pudding so I had sticky toffee pudding with bourbon sauce and custard.

@LindaOHio gammon is from the hind leg of the pig. It can be cooked in several different ways. It’s delicious

Well, first of all, I hope the extraction goes well. Above all, you should take care of your diet, a soft diet. Although you specifically mentioned your meal plan and I found it quite appetizing.

@LindaOHio I have a friend who is currently undergoing root canal treatment, but I've been told that it is quite painful. If they have to do something like that to me, I prefer to extract the tooth and look for a prosthesis. Thanks to God and technology, prostheses are more aesthetic and less invasive than when grandparents used removable prostheses.

I'm hoping the root canal can be redone and my tooth doesn't have to be extracted.

Hope the new dentist is able to fix your tooth that keeps losing the filling and the tooth with root canal problems.
I had company yesterday so we had a pizza party.
