I ate at Arby's four times while on the road!

I have eaten escargot in Paris. Here in CA, I enjoy Thai, Indian, and Chinese cuisine regularly. But one of my favorite foods in the world is...Arby's! Specifically, Arby's classic roast beef sandwich. That thinly sliced beef. That tasty bun. That Horsey Sauce.. I look forward to the freedom of the open road when I go to Montana. I look forward to the wind in the trees when I get there. But I also look forward to.dining at Arby's as often as I can. This year it was four times, which may be a new record. I could write more, including about my research re: where there are and are not Arby's, but I don't want this post to get long. Do you have an "odd" favorite restaurant? .

I'm glad you enjoyed eating at Arby's... I think the closest Arby's restaurant to us is in Monett, Missouri, but I don't remember ever eating there. We don't eat out often enough to have "favorite" restaurants anymore.

You, the man who once referred to the meat at Arby’s as “green” are an Arby’s lover. Well, I guess that just makes you more relatable.

From which angle can meat be ever green?

Of course you'd like the Horsey sauce... I like their roast beef sandwiches, too, but haven't had one in a long time.

I also love thinly sliced roast beef and it's ages that I do not make it. I really should.

I have been making "pretend Arby's sandwiches" since I returned home. I pinched some Horsey Sauce while on the road.

With your love of the Horsey sauce, why don't you just go to the grocery and buy a bottle of it? Get your own roast beef and bread and make your own...you can make a giant roast beef sammie, and share it with Kitty. She may prefer hers without the Horsey sauce, though...

@vandana7 He doesn't do too badly when he's in the mood to heat things up or cook breakfasts. No, he won't starve, because if he had no food he would have to eat Kitty's food, and he won't do that...

I don't know Arby's. I also don't eat beef. But before me is a bowl of rice and mango pickle. And I am salivating. Nice red colored stuff, with pickle aroma. Thank god you are not pregnant.

Interesting, because ever since I was 12 years old, I have loved Arby's and their classic roast beef sandwiches. When I was 12, at home recovering from a time in the hospital, my parents wanted to take me out to eat and of all the restaurants I picked Arby's. Also, when I was pregnant with my first child, I would crave Arby's classic roast beef sandwiches.

@TheHorse At one point Mom lived super close to Arbys. We'd drive in to see Mom and she'd go over and get us sandwiches.

I don't think I ever went there. And it took me a while before I realised that Arby's was probably derived from RB i.e roast beef, in an attempt to make it sound more like somebody's family restaurant and not just a faceless chain.

Glad you got to enjoy it. I used to like them a lot more now they like everyone has cut the serving sizes and raised the prices but I am known to stop there many 2 times a year. I have the benefit of it being many 2 miles from my house. At least I save on gas to go there lol

@TheHorse Thats a little far for some roast beef LOL. One of my favorites is Culver's a fast casual burger place. I know they started in WI but I think they have since extended to some surrounding states. Don't believe they are in California.

I do recall, not so long ago, you saying you didn't have an Arby's near where you live, so I am glad you were able to enjoy some on your travels. As for "odd" restaurants, I am not sure I have one that comes to mind. I always liked Jack-in-the-Box, but we have plenty here. Most of the "oddball" ones we don't like Whataburger, Jack's, Zaxby's, Bojangles and places like that didn't impress me enough to go, "WOW."
