Well, thanks to @bobkevin9468 on Youtube I have the answer to the mysterious bug. It is a Lampetis drummondi, not the kind of kritter I want on my property.
I recently lost the oldest pine tree on my property and now I'm worried that there are more of these here that could kill the rest of my trees, I really don't have that many trees and I don't want to lose any of them.

I will pray there is no wasp nest. I have found that if you mix peppermint & vinegar together and spray the area they usually will go away just make sure you do that at night when they are not flying around.
If they leave but you still have the nest just leave it there because it will keep other wasps from invading.

From what I read they are resistant to most toxic insecticides ..... I don't use poisons to control pests or weeds ..... so I hope I can find a natural remedy that might kill them. Tomorrow I'll call the extension agency to see what they know about them.

Yes, unfortunately. Now the problem is how to rid myself of these creatures without using pesticides, I'm hoping to find a natural way to get rid of them.

Oh, no. I wouldn't want this bug around at all. I enjoy the healthy trees outside my window. I hope they are eradicated from your area in a hurry.

Whatever it is, regardless of its species, if it is toxic, you must remove it from your gardens, as it will end up as a plague on your plants. You must remove it and release it somewhere else.

@rebelann I hope there are no more of them or at least that they haven't left any eggs or larvae or I don't know what that insect leaves but that it doesn't leave any traces. I think you should go back and look from time to time. Looking sideways in your garden to see if you can get it again, maybe it must be camouflaged.

This beetle is beautiful and it has good shades of it's skin color.
