I figured out what was missing today.

Here on mylot, we seem to talk about food a lot. What we've eaten, what we are going to eat, what we like to eat...it's pretty much a daily thing. Every afternoon and evening, we usually have some posts discussing who ate what, who cooked and who didn't, where someone went if they went out to eat, and what they had.
But oddly, not today. No posts saying ''What's for dinner?'' or describing a meal or planning for one. I can't remember a day without those posts, until today.
It just seems weird without the food posts somehow. @NJ Chicaa, didn't you cook today?

I love fajitas. Son had vegetable beef soup because that's what he asked for, I took it out of the freezer for him.He loves a lot of homemade soup. I made him some pudding as well. I had a fajita salad, made with a bed of lettuce and tomatoes, and the chicken fajita mixture I concocted for the top--a piece of grilled chicken, some bell pepper (had to pick them all, or let them freeze!) and onion on top. So, so good!!

@AmbiePam
You know how I am, I made enough fajita mixture to eat it again tomorrow. Those bell peppers were so good, they make everything taste delicious.
That was the last container of the vegetable beef soup I made for the son a few weeks ago. He has decided he really loves it, and ''Mom, can you make some more of this stuff? Please?'' Well, yes...that's what us mama's do, I guess. Not to mention he has eaten it all, and I like it too. Plus, it's cold outside, and soup tastes pretty good right now!

@MarieCoyle - You can use any kind of vegetables, I use mushrooms, bell peppers and onions and I cook in a creamy sauce and topped with a tablespoon of sour cream.

That sounds delicious, Anna. I am intrigued by a vegetable stroganoff. Do not remember ever having that.

@LadyDuck
I am going to try that. I can just use my base recipe for the sauce and I love vegetables. Thanks, Anna.

Well, baking is cooking, too. It's usually not meals, but it's still food.

I post about my meals every day. Tonight I may have a Meals on Wheels meal that is in the freezer. It's some kind of beef.

@MarieCoyle All the meal services so far that I've checked out are too high in sodium.

I do wish you could find someone to cook some meals for you, or a good meal service that would cook according to your diet plan.

Surely there is someone, maybe your doctor's office might have a list of people who can cook according to diets?

Well, we have to go grocery shopping if we need to cook. I usually don’t mind the shopping, it’s the unloading of stuff and putting it away that I don’t really like.

Beef and mushroom pot pie for me tonight — onions, thyme, a splash of Worcestershire, and a buttery pastry top. Always hits the spot!

Ramen is a popular food all over the world, I think. I know college students that claim they would starve without Ramen.

Once upon a time, I liked cheese on mine. Now I just like it plain, a tiny amount of salt, and maybe a dab of butter. Simple and good.
