I keep cutting the price.

I had no idea how selfish I was. I keep selling things, but my friend will say things like, this person is struggling, and I’ll cut the price of what I’m selling. And then I’ll kind of be like, darn, I wish I didn’t feel compelled to give such a discount (like one lady is getting a great deal on shoes because her puppy ruined all her shoes). I don’t like that I feel like that! I’m more selfish than I realized!
Do you ever surprise yourself in a bad way?

Amber I am sure your prices you ask are very reasonable. I feel like it is unfair for your friend to guilt trip you into cutting what you ask down. I have seen when you have been struggling yourself. That is probably why it is so easy for someone to tell you a sad story.

I think don't have to give discount due to other's word,so long as you feel the price is reasonable, you can keep price unchanged.

I don't think you are....because you still are giving the discount. But that is just seeing things from my side. I am sure I am selfish in ways.

You can't save everybody. Cut yourself a break I am aware I am more self centered than most. I try to notice and make amends when I can

Just now
Once during the outbreak of Covid, I'd helped parents by giving them money as I felt a very strong urge to help them. They had come with the plea that they were unable to pay the fees. I later felt I shouldn't have. They never returned the money.
