They advertise "Shop like a millionaire!" and they are the fastest growing retailer the world has ever seen. They launched in September of 2022 and are now worth $170 billion pounds (or $223,779,500,000 in USD.).
Temu doesn't manufacture any of the products it sells but rather is the platform for thousands of businesses. A item is ordered and the product is sent from the platform company leaving out the middleman. This is why they can sell so cheap.
I watched a video where a woman bought some items and then checked them for safety and quality. One was a baby jumper that was advertised safe for children up to 3 years of age. When a weight that was equal to that of a 3-year-old child was put in the product it broke immediately. She also checked some climbing equipment and found it to have safety certification on the packaging but nothing on the actual product.
Temu has faced a lot of legal ramifications which includes fines and lawsuits. A $2 million fine was issued by the FTC for violating the INFORM Consumers Act. Various state attorneys have filed lawsuits alleging deceptive practices such as counterfeiting products and lack of compliance with other laws.
I have wondered about this company for several years. I have seen ads for some really pretty items that I wanted to try but didn't. I'm glad i didn't. I do hope that anyone that takes a chance and orders from them doesn't have any issues.

I have seen very beautiful sandals online from Tenu. But I don´t dare buy them. I don´t even know if the size is really the real one.

Me too. I saw some pretty dresses which I like to wear when I go out but I won't order from them.

Pretty flat refuses to order anything from them because of safety and manufacturing problems.

She's smart. I just wondered and my fears were verified earlier reading about them.

That is why I have not ever ordered from them, low quality items that I read about.

Nuts for sure. I bought a couple of inexpensive items a couple of years ago. They were okay but not the best. I won't buy from them again.

I have not, nor will not order from them. I feel like somewhere in the manufacturing process the labor is forced. And yes, I also question the quality, and the sizing. It just was not worth the risk to me.

I know a lot of people here buy from Temu but I don't often talk to them about whether they're happy with the service or not.

A friend bought a shirt that had the sleeves sewn in upside down. The only time the shirt would have fit her is if she wore it with her arms constantly raised up!
I would never buy from them, not even tempted.
