Happy New Year! I hope 2026 is better for all of us. Have a Happy, Safe, Prosperous and Healthy New Year!!! I watched the ball drop last night. Did you?
What did you do for New Year's Eve? What will you do today for New Year's Day?
78 days until spring.
It s**wed quite a lot last night. I hope I don't have to have the drive plowed again.

Breakfast - PB&J sandwich
Lunch - Buffalo chicken and vegan cheese sandwich, veggie poppables, strawberries
Dessert/Snack - Nature's Bakery Brownie, 70% dark chocolate
Dinner - Buffalo chicken and vegan cheese sandwich, veggie sticks, yogurt

I spent the last day of 2025 having lunch with my niece. I switched things up and got a turkey sandwich with fries. The fries filled me up, so I brought the turkey home and had it for dinner. Apples and yogurt and grapes, oh my!

@LindaOHio — it was a bugger getting there, though. There was a five-vehicle wreck on the interstate (three semis) blocking her way (no injuries, thank God), and I run into congestion from construction on the way in. We’re going to have to start meeting for lunch in Florence, Kentucky…less traffic problems for both of us!

That's good you got to watch it drop, no cable here. I did stay up to see the new year, but just watched youtube like usual. Nothing exciting. Today is nothing exciting either lol.

PM me your phone number if you want to text. No pressure. Only if you want to. That's my favorite thing about the phone. I like it better than calling. When you call you may talk for an hour. Texting is much more efficient!!!

@MommyOfEli2013 I have phone numbers from 3 members so far. This will give me an opportunity to get to know them better and also, if MyLot ever closes, we can still keep in touch.

@LindaOHio I prefer texting too, well mostly cause I don't like talking on the phone. I wouldn't talk for an hour, I would sit there and be awkward lol. But I can do that.

Fireworks woke me up around 9 pm and I read and ignored the fireworks after that. I spend most of the night reading and talking on myLot. I will go to sleep in a little while. I'm getting tired and my face is swelling up and my left eye is already closed and my right eye is closing...
I age a sausage, egg and cheese croissant yesterday for breakfast, two oranges for lunch and then made smoked turkey, dressing, sautéed shallots and cornbread for supper last night.
I hope things go well for you this year.

I'm so sorry your face is swelling up.
I expected a lot of fireworks and gunfire at midnight; but it was pretty quiet. Probably too cold to go outside.
2026 has to be better than 2025. Thanks.

@LindaOHio It started coming in on Saturdays so by my figuration it should be here only by January 10 but I could be wrong now i really don't know how 2026 will be.

Happy New Year Linda. I was awake to ring in the new year.
We had just about an inch of that awful white stuff and my son in law came by to clean the driveway and sidewalk. Hope you didn't have to have yours done again.
Last night I had ham, mac & cheese for dinner and only watched TV. Nothing exciting.
Today has been quiet . Gone are the old days when it was a big deal.

@LindaOHio it depends of the year. before, they were super cold but last one was mild and i enjoyed not so expensive electricity bills these days, it's going to get cold; tomorrow, even snow. thank you!

I am not sure what all I ate. Trying to get all the protein that I have been recommended I feel like I have been eating constantly. I know last night I had the hamburger/mushroom gravy I had made, topped it with plain yogurt instead of sour cream--going for a stroganoff type meal. It was very good.

We spend the rest of the New year's Eve with family, we ate a lot lol and made loud noises together with the rest of our neighborhood when the clock hits midnight.
