Hello! This is NOT where I planned on myLotting this evening.
I’m in the emergency room. The Covid test was positive. I suppose that’s good because that saves them from looking for a lot of different things.
I don’t know what they’re going to do. Right now I’m getting IV fluids and water to drink. Meanwhile, y’all have a good evening, and I’d appreciate prayers.

Wow
Oh god not good.
I wrongly thought COVID was a thing of the past for America.
It was someone on here who shouted me down when I said there was still a risk of COVID
I don't really pray as you know, but, having seen Yvonne in an isolation situation quite recently, I will have a word with the Big man asking he looks after you.
Keep us updated, hope you are well soon

We’re not having a lot of deaths from it. I think the flu has caused more fatalities this season here. But it’s still alive and “well.” Thank God, not as horrible as it was when it started back in 2020.

The authorities are blaming flu for deaths here but what I saw in the hospital and listening to other carers and visitors made me lean more towards COVID song the cause.
The isolation rooms were full for the 13 days Yvonne was there.

I wondered, with all the hugs you’ve sent me recently, whether you were suffering from a fever, and now I know.
Only joking. I’ve had Covid a couple of times but not had to go to ER. I hope you recover quickly and I’ll be thinking of you.

Thanks and germ-free hugs to my second-favorite Brit (behind Paul McCartney, of course
).
I walked out in the cold and I think that got my heart racing. That, not any symptoms, is what took me to the hospital. (Actually, my new car took me to the hospital.

@coolimrose — there is the stress, but it’s nothing like when I had it in 2020. With all the media hype and everything I honestly made my will out because I was sure that I was going to die.
I have asthma so there is a possibility of it getting worse, but it’s not “likely.”

Didn’t get solid rest last night (as my watch will soon tell me), but I did get rest. I’m not in any severe pain. My temp and pulse are normal. Glad there was enough vaccine available thanks to anti-vaxxers.

Noooooo!!
I do not like this news at all. Sending prayers and virtual hugs, because, you know…
I’m just so sorry.

I’m not crazy about it myself.
But it doesn’t feel as badly as I did when I had it in 2020. The doctor said my lungs look good and clear, and that’s the most important thing.
Thanks for your prayers!

@MarieCoyle — I’m home. Had maybe five bites of chicken soup and half a cheese sandwich. Funny thing is I didn’t lose my taste this time.

I am glad your lungs are good, I know that will help a lot. Are they keeping you there, or letting you go home?

Thanks, I feel like I have a head cold (sneezing my fool head off!) but no symptoms like I had with Covid in 2020.

It was just an emergency room visit. I’m doing “well,” in that I don’t feel anything like I did the first time I had Covid in 2020. This time, it feels like a head cold. My smart watch is still showing my pulse and breathing are abnormal during sleep, but my sleep is improving daily. Thank you so much for your kind words.

@FourWalls That must be a relief, especially compared to 2020. I hope it continues to stay mild and you feel completely better soon.

They were more worried about my heart rate. When it calmed down on its own they kicked me and my germs out.

Please take very good care of yourself. COVID is still alive and affecting so many people. This strain is definitely less and less harmful yet it stull drains one out

I agree. Being sick is draining, whether it’s a head cold or covid or the flu, or anything that causes an ailment.

Oh, sure, went home after my heart rate calmed down. That, not Covid symptoms, is why I went to the ER.

While I’m lying in bed doing nothing, I feel fine. Get up, I start feeling bad. So I’ll stay in bed.
