Called An Ambulance Last Night

Yes, I had to call an ambulance on myself again last night. I was having severe breathing problems and decided that I wasn't going to wait until I was as bad as I was when I came to the hospital in November.
My breathing started getting bad about 3 or 4 days ago. I probably should of came in Friday but I was actually feeling pretty good that day. The weekend my breathing was up and down and I didn't think I would have to come here. Well that changed yesterday
They have me on two antibiotics, has been watching my oxygen and heart rate real close. They did take the heart monitor off about 15 minutes ago. So now all I have to deal with is my oxygen and a Iv. I do have a bacterial infect4tion that they are working hard on.
They don't think I will be here for two weeks like I was in November. I sure hope not. I have things to do and it doesn't include a vacation at the hospital. I will be staying tonight for sure.
So here I sit chatting a chat to all of you. I have been asleep most of the day due to lack of sleep. You know how hospitals are. They don't let you sleep. I know that I want to catch up on sleep so I might not answer discussions real fast but I will get them done.
Happy myLotting everyone!

My.wofe had Strep Pneumonia in October and November and was on hospital for almost 3 weeks
Her 02 saturations were down at 88%
Antibiotic and Oxygen assistance were needed
It was touch and go for a while
I hope you recover as well as my wife has.

Will you have anyone looking after you when you get home?

Thank you, DE. I hope I can at least be home by the weekend. This stay is different cause I don't have all the extra wired to deal with, I can actually get up and move around a little more than a few feet, I can see sky from my window and I don't have to cook. LOL

@velvet53 You're very welcome.
I hate hospital stays because nurses won't let you sleep and there isn't anything to do.
One of the things I learned today is that IF the neurologist decides to remove cerebrospinal fluid, it will happen slowly, over three days and I'll be stuck in the hospital that long... I am NOT looking forward to that boredom even if that does mean I won't have to cook during that time. I will be stuck in bed, on my stomach... I can sleep on my stomach but may get irritated when the nurses keep waking me up to see if I was asleep.

@velvet53 I always feel rested as long as I am wearing my CPAP device while I'm asleep.

Thanks Dianne. Yes, November was like this trip but much worse . In November they were dealing with my blood pressure, heart rate and blood pressure. I was there a for 11 days I finally figured out today. Way to long for me.
It is mostly due to my COPD which can really mess a body up. Now I am having anxiety attacks because I can't catch my breath.

That's not good, That means you have to take better
care of yourself & change whatever it is your doing, cause the older
we get the worse it will get, that's why I had to change my habits.
I think we have had this talk b-4 about this if I'm not mistaken ?1 person likes this
