I’m going skydiving!

Yep, you read that right! My birthday is next Sunday, and as a present, a couple of my aunts gave me money to go skydiving. They knew it was on my bucket list. And, before anyone mentions my back, I cleared this with my doctors. My back doctor has done it, and told me a roller coaster is harder on the back than skydiving, and I did that in November. I mean, think about the late President, George Bush. Didn’t he go on his 100th birthday? If his back didn’t get hurt, mine won’t. I mean, he couldn’t even stand up straight.
I’m going with my best friend, Naomi. She went last year. She’s really excited. The tandem jumping doesn’t open until March 14th so we’ll be going in March or April. I hope you guys will be excited for me, because I can’t wait! I had planned to do this when I was thirty, but money and taking care of my mom got in the way!
Anyone else want to go?

I could not do it. I usually enjoy adventures, but I have always said that if I did skydiving, I would probably die of fright or pass out and couldn’t pull the cord!! I’m glad you get to do this since you have always wanted to!!

@AmbiePam I couldn't do it. I'm scared of heights and don't like looking out windows in tall buildings. (I get dizzy looking out a third floor window. *shrug*)

That’s amazing — what a perfect birthday gift! ???? I love that you cleared it with your doctors and are finally doing something that’s been on your bucket list, especially after putting it off to take care of your mom. Going with Naomi will make it even more special. And honestly, if President George Bush could skydive at 100, you’ve definitely got this! You’ll have to come back and tell us all about it — I’ll be cheering for you!

What a brilliant present.
