Hey there! What am I doing up this early? My sister-in-law is having surgery today. The bionic woman! Meanwhile, here is another song from 1976. Yes, kids, that was fifty years ago now. Not only that, it’s one that “everybody” knows! FINALLY, they all say! Here’s today’s 50-hear-old classic. Dancing Queen - Abba That’s right, it’s time to dance and jive, having the time of your lives! Although Abba was a supergroup in nearly every country in the world, this was their only #1 song in the United States. What were we thinking??? I guess were too busy with dancing queens and kings every other week to be concerned about the wide variety of music that Abba gave the world. Also, they only did one tour of the US, and it was a disaster, so that might have had something to do with it. Whatever caused their relative lack of success here versus everywhere else, time has been kind to them. They’re in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as they should be. And, even 50 years later, we’re still in love with this song.
