3/20/26 - Meals

It is 81F at 12:40 pm. The high is supposed to reach 94F today. We have the air conditioner running now. We went shopping yesterday and bought a bunch of family packs of meats and a pack of fried chicken. Pretty wanted salad to go with her chicken and I wanted broccoli with cheese sauce for mine. I ate a plain slice of bread for breakfast since I had been sick all night, no lunch and chicken and broccoli for supper.

I’m glad cousin #3 is finally doing something. It will be 96 degrees here today. I already had to turn on my air conditioner. Yesterday, I had cream of chicken and wild rice soup, fish, broccoli, and a pear. I feel like I had something else, but I don’t quite remember what.

We had some very warm days the past week, I was so happy, but yesterday (Saturday) and this morning the cold is back.

I loaded up on pasta since we are playing in a paintball tournament this weekend. Lots and lots of spaghetti for me!

I had pea soup and half a poppyseed bagel after my martini. Fritos for a treat.

I ate noodle soup and veggie salad yesterday. Your food is always delicious.

Spring has been warm and blue skied so far. We ate soup and sandwiches yesterday.

How is spring treating me? Like summer. Free food at Chuy’s so I got a full taco salad and had it for lunch and dinner. Applesauce and peppermint patties for dessert (not together ).

I ate nothing but junk food yesterday. Very bad. We helped my cousin clean another one of her rentals in the morning. So in the morning we picked up two donuts and orange juice. Than my cousin bought everyone hamburgers, fries and 7/up. For dinner we got a pizza on the way home. See how bad we were but like I tell my grandchildren we are adults we can eat what we want. That was the year I fixed a pumpkin pie with whipped cream for breakfast. That was really good hot right out of the oven.

Our weather is very similar. It is a grey and cloudy day today, but it feels like we are turning the corner and into a new season of transition. Yesterday I had a slice of toast for lunch and fruit and I made a casserole with the leftover roast beef, and added some potatoes and a vegetable. My husband liked it.

You will start getting help early tomorrow. This is my second day of sunshine so I am not griping. Yesterday's supper featured an Amy's Chinese noodles and cashew sauce, potatoes on the side. The dish was supposed to be for one person so I put boiled potatoes on the side as a filler. Tasty noodles.

You have a helpful cousin. Stuffed shells sound good. I enjoyed a leftover meal my wife brought home from a restaurant also Italian. It was Chicken Parm and stuffed eggplant with cheese.

Doesn't sound too nice yet there for spring. We just had 3 days in the 70s...today was 60s but super windy.

Spring is treating us quite well Last three days has been sunny and every day peaked at 15c or 16C So we have been out every day I have to post about the food so I won't tell you about it just now Linda

It's good to know cousin no. 3 comes to help. I had an exhausting Saturday and was too tried to do anything last night. After dinner and a shower, I went straight to bed, watched tv and fell asleep before 11pm

It has finally warmed up a little bit and got sunny here

It was a simple kind of day I had buttermilk pancakes the frozen kind, topped with pork sausage patties, and American cheese, Down to my last ice cream sandwich and Ding Dong,

I had Weetbix for breakfast, salad for lunch and a chicken casserole for dinner.
