Do you use on-line banking?

An most of you know, I am not a big fan of technology. It seems they're always tying to sell you something you don't need, and interacting with AI bots makes me feel lonely. But I am glad I have on-line banking. My pay checks are sent directly to my checking account, and I can move money around between my accounts as I see fit. I also pay off my credit card on line. Does technology ever tick you off or leave you sad? Do you use on-line banking?

I am a recluse and have not ventured out for a long time so I do use online banking. I then use my debit card to online purchases,

@TheHorse Isn't credit card expensive? I don't use either debit or credit cards. I prefer UPI. I guess you all do not have UPI.

@TheHorse if I had and used a credit card I would be in debt up to my eyebrows and could not afford groceries. I gave up credit cards before I left for Latvia and switched to debit cards. I know how much is in my account and that is good enough for me. I don't even have cash at home.

@TheHorse Still my advice would be to bifurcate receipts. The online account should not be the same as other where you have major receipts.

Yes, it's the only way to go here. We do not use checks, we pay everything through online banking or using our credit or debit card.

@TheHorse - Checks do not exist anymore both here in Italy and in Switzerland. You pay your bills online or you go to the post office with cash if you do not have Internet.

Yes. Even me with little tech ability uses on line banking. The credit union that we used when we lived East side has the best interest rates so we are sticking with them though going into one of their buildings would mean a day trip.

The only online banking we do is with our monthly Gov checks, we don't do anything else no kind of checks or shopping, that's how people steal from you.

You can probably talk to someone at your bank who will help you. Just be ready to hear "Your call is important to us" and then listen for 45 minutes "soothing":music.

Some tech I like, online banking is one of them but I hate AI, or rather, the Narcissistic programmers who actually believe they can create intellegence via an algorithm they write.

I used to pride myself on being ahead of the curve when it came to technology and its use. But I find myself falling farther and farther behind as I get older, partly because the technology is changing faster than I can keep up with, and also partly because I don't care as much about it as I used to. I am a big fan of online banking, and haven't actually been in a brick and mortar bank in probably over a decade.

@TheHorse That would make sense. I can't even remember the last time I was paid in cash for anything. I can't even remember the last time I had cash in hand, since I do everything electronically these days.

You more or less have to learn to use the internet or in a few years you'd be struggling to do anything. We shift money around online. The internet does have its uses.

Vulnerability to cyber attacks is scary. I tend to keep less amount, and put major amounts in Fixed Deposits so that the attacker cannot cash it without personally visiting the branch. Even then accounts are broken into several branches. Kinda, if one is lost, I am not helpless.

@JudyEv Oh I am good. Thank you Judy. There is some superstition circulating that someone is extremely envious of me, because of which they are unable to win the case. The case is not coming up for hearing also. :( I was asked to keep low profile. I have this evil eye objects on me....weird...for a logical person like I. But if it works, why not. On personal level, I don't give a damn. But others are also suffering apparently because of their link to me. How have you been?
