He slept and slept and is sleeping again

I do not know if it is the weather or his health or just what, but Bob slept until around 11:30 this morning, then went back to bed before 2:00 pm.
I insisted he eat a snack type breakfast, and then some tea and soup for lunch.
I told him he has to eat or he will be falling again and we cannot have that.
Mostly today is on the easy/lazy side. However my hot water heater pilot went out again. I do not know if we had wind, or what. I now know the steps to relight it.
I hate that the instructions are down so low on the tank. You practically have to stand on your head to read them.
So, because of that difficulty I have taken pictures of it all. I can read the instructions on my phone and find how to set the dial right as well.
Wish me luck, as I prefer not to have to replace the water heater this year as well.

Poor Bob, I think he is just not feeling well and is probably quite depressed as well. I was going to suggest a picture

@snowy2231 he is on an antidepressant, actually for the side effect of increased appetite. He began running a fever and now has an antibiotic.@Ineeddentures it is from the gloomy days, but also from an infection.

Well Heather let's hope it's the weather and not his health
He really does have to eat.
Good luck, I hope you get the pilot light sorted and do not need to replace the water heater any time soon

Good that the pilot might got done.
Hope the anti biotics helps Bob
Yvonne has chronic health issues too and I know what Bob and you must be experiencing.
Yvonne has had 6 months now with no interventions
But I know how dangerous her next setback can be ,
We have emergency packs of steroids and antibiotics in the house so at the first sign of a problem I can start her on a course of antibiotics and steroids

Hope he isn't getting sick.
The water heater might just need a new thermocouple

It needs to not be in a drafty place, but yes, I will also talk to my plumber. Bob is sick. He has a UTI and anemia, and chronic heart failure.

Best of luck to you and I hope it does not have to be replaced. You know I have had times I am so tired I can hardly move and sleeping more at least for me it has been a way to recharge my energy, I hope that is the case with Bob, blessings to him and you and will put him in my prayers,

When you know the instructions it is really easy. Electronic ignition, so no real flame either.

There is a little draft that sometimes occurs. It is near a back exterior door. We have had a lot of wind lately.

Bob likes hugs. He has an antibiotic because he has a kidney infection. He has a kidney infection because he has kidney disease. He was running a fever. Sleeping probably was the best for him. Oh, and I got him some ice cream.

I bet they do not answer. I am glad I thought of taking a picture with my phone so I could read instructions right side up.

I find it tough to wake/get up as I age.
Once I am up and about, I feel recharged.
Eating a proper meal is needed and I hope Bob does that.
I manage with essential maintenance and repairs but worry nothing happens to necessitate a big hole in my purse, now that I am retired for years.

Maybe that nice Mr. fix-it fellow would look at it for you. It would be best to have it checked out and it could be a simple fix. Gas hot water heaters are nothing to mess with, and you want to be safe.

It is in a drafty place. I have had it looked at in the past and the plumber would be more likely for looking it over. It is relit, and I have blocked the draft at the bottom of the back door.

Too much danger for me to try it myself. If my water heater pilot goes out I call a plumber to restart it. That way, if he blows the house up at least his insurance deals with it, not mine.
Good luck. Hope Bob’s feeling better. Praying for y’all!

Bob has a UTI. We have antibiotics. Weather bothers him some too. Pilot light is just an electronic ignition, and requires no open flame or anything. If it did not relight I would call the plumber.

@GardenGerty — oh, okay, I have one of those gas heaters that I wouldn’t get near if it needed any sort of maintenance.

I hope Bob is okay and the heat is just making him tired.
I had to take a picture last time the water heater pilot light went out and then explain to Pretty how to relight it. I couldn't get down that far and back up again without help. I hope you don't need to replace it this year. Good luck!

Praying for you and Bob.
I was like that a couple of weeks ago. I woke up feeling drained. So, I went back to sleep, woke up ate a little something and went back to sleep again. I didn't feel sick, running a fever or anything like that, just had zero energy,
