Only five days until we leave on our cruise. I am starting to feel the excitement that comes with any vacation.
I got the refund for the egg chair and I used it to buy a new suitcase. I have a huge one that I bought for my 14 day cruise and a smaller carry on. This one is just right.
I tend to over pack. I don't need to since I get free laundry with our suite but I am an admitted clothes horse. I also need to take a first aide kit, my medication, every toiletry known to man , long pants, short pants, dresses, long sleeves, short sleeves, no sleeves, I am obsessed.
I will pare it down , I always do but that will
Be a few days from now. I have lists to make sure I don't forget anything.
The one thing I can't pack yet is chargers!! Do I have chargers!!! Way too many. My iPhone, my Oura, my Fitbit, my Neilson monitor,and my travel chrome book. I also bring my red light strap for any knee pain. Luckily Kasey is bringing her massager so I don't need mine.
I have sunglasses and two light sweaters coming from Amazon. I have three sun hats!! I need to stop, I am out of control!! lol

I hope you enjoy yourself. I’m looking forward to the cruise we are going to in October to Canada. I can’t do hot places so Canada in October is perfect for me.

@BelleStarr Two stops in Nova Scotia and one on Prince Edward Island. My sister has been dying to see where Anne of Green Gables was filmed.

@AmbiePam Oh you will love it. Charlottetown is very pretty and the Anne of Green Gables House is a must see. It has become a lot more commercial though. I went there first over 25 years ago and then again in 2024. Now it has a huge visitor center and gift shop, I liked it better before when it was just a simple house. We ate a lot of lobster but now that has changed as well . We ate lobster everyday at church suppers when we went the first time. But PEI is lovely, all white cottages with green shutters. You are probably stopping in Halifax and Sydney, both also very nice. Which cruise line? I have taken this cruise on Princess, Norwegian, and Holland America.

@snowy22315 One can only hope. lol It has rained here for 2 straight days so it is in the high 60s now. The weather during the cruise looks like it will be high sixties and low seventies.

I think it's always better to over pack than it is to under pack. Out of control now so you can relax and enjoy the trip. Which line are you going on?

Holland America. I plan to have afternoon tea several times and delivered to our room at least once, I plan to be quite spoiled lol This cruise was a splurge, last time I had a inside room on Norwegian that was more spartan than even I am used to. lol

lol I honestly think that there is way too much food on a cruise to need snacks. I will make sure I get fresh fruit in the room daily!! But yes, when I went to my brothers's in Vermont I did bring my own snacks on the cruise we have 24/7 room service, I'm pretty sure the cheese plate is a winner. I am going to be soooo spoiled by the time I get home.

I was just reading a couple of days ago that the average traveller now carries four battery-powered devices, and they are the top fire risk on flights. So in case you are flying anywhere, remember to pack them in your cabin bag!
