Yellow Skies for Miles..

Not sure how many mylotters are on the northeast but the last two days the skies have been yellow due to the massive wildfire in Canada. The air quality is really bad, you can smell the burnt wood aroma in the air. The sun is also out but the smoke is soo thick you can see or feel the heat from the sun. I'm praying it rains and it washes away the thick smoke.

At least it is just yellow there, and you can see further than we can.
The thick of the plume of smoke is in my area.
It has travelled far.
Yesterday and today there is an orange glow to everything, and it smells like you are at a campground, the stench of burning wood is very strong.
The majority of this poor air will not pass our region until Sunday, they predict, which is alot of days in, no construction work or day camps or other outdoor activities. No drive through take out windows.........

Our winds are from the north west, and if those shift, we will be free of this air.
I cannot imagine living through this heatwave and now the smoke plume without a/c.

I live in Southern Missouri and haven't smelled smoke yet. Last year and the year before that, we smelled smoke from the Canadian fires all summer long.
