Roast pork, tiramisu and cheesecake for a birthday dinner

I had a major birthday a week ago and part of the celebrations was a dinner at my brother-in-law’s. You can see how nicely the table has been set. Vince cooked the meal but we didn’t eat here as it would be very crowded trying to seat ten people for a meal. We had roast pork and vegetables then tiramisu and cheesecake for dessert. I love the three vases of flowers. They have lasted very well but are just about on their last legs now. Friends invited ourselves and a few others to their beach house for four nights and we enjoyed our time there too. There was nine of us altogether. We had several games of cards in the evenings. Now it’s back to normal.

I agree, the table looks beautiful. I'm sure everybody loved the birthday dinner. That sounds like a very nice "vacation" away from home, too.

It's been a really nice week. Our Irish son was here for my birthday and flew home next day. He'd been here a fortnight at that point and we really enjoyed our time together.

They went to a lot of trouble. July 29 is the actual day. It's also the birthday of my brother and sister who are twins. My brother passed away a few years ago.
