Would you wait outside all night to buy this?

I heard this on the news earlier--Starbuck's is having a ''special release'' for the 60th Anniversary of ''It's a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown'' and of course people are lining up to buy one of the cups, or various other items connected with this, all for crazy high prices. Who in the world would pay $39.95 for one cup like this? Oh, and the limit is 2 per person. People are having trouble buying gas and paying for groceries, and this is a priority?

I can buy groceries for several days with that money. I could make a long list of things I´d rather buy with it. And normal mugs can be bought for maybe $2 or so.

I feel the same way, Marga. I can make a lot of food for that amount, that would sustain us for several days . I don't care to waste money, either.

I wouldn't buy anything from a company known to support israel. So that's a double reason not to line up all night for an expensive beverage.

I don't like their actions or support at this time, either. Not to mention no coffee is worth the amount that they charge. When I leave the house, my insulated coffee mug goes with me, it keeps my home brewed coffee hot and fresh for a long time. I never go out for coffee.

Well, we have one Mylotter from The Philippines who really seems to get into these new cups Starbucks is always coming out with. I think her friends are the ones getting them for her, but she seems to take great delight in them. I don’t understand why as I could not care less. It’s an expensive cup. Maybe it’s a status symbol they are really keen on having, but it’s such a waste to me.

Even if I had the money to blow on one, I still wouldn't buy one. It seems silly, as I have plenty of coffee mugs and several insulated to-go cups, I don't need any more of them. Maybe it IS a status symbol, but I will pass!

No. Especially when you can order them to be delivered to your home on Amazon.

Someone commented that same thought, and would you believe they said they were afraid it would never arrive because it would be stolen? How would anyone even know what it was in an Amazon box? I don't think it's going to say ''Starbuck's new Snoopy cup'' on the box, but maybe it would, I suppose.

Some people must think it's important to get these, I just don't consider it to be something I need to spend money on.
