I can’t stop…

So you may remember I had a bone graft in my mouth a little over a week ago. I can feel a stitch in there, and it’s bugging me. I’m not going to touch it, but I can’t help but move it with my tongue. I hope that doesn’t gross anyone out. Anyone have a hard time not doing a particular thing? *The stitch comes out when I get back from vacation.

Ugh I feel this, the tongue just goes there on its own. Try to hang in there, its probably the hardest part of healing. Hope the vacation takes your mind off it.

Does it hurt as much? I hope that you find much relief and comfort as it heals. Arthritic pain and muscle aches. So, movements (lots of it) keep my mind off the pain. Ginger and turmeric tea-- hot or cold- I find very helpful. Vit D3K2.

Oh, turneric…that is good stuff. I take turmeric capsules to help my arthritis. Thankfully, my mouth no longer hurts, and I am so thankful to say that because my previous dental surgery, a month and a half ago left me in so much pain.

But can you eat? I hope you can enjoy the cruise and the food also. Enjoy and God bless.

I think it would bother me. Just hang in there. Soon, it will be healed.

Can you call the dentist and ask if he can trim the stitch down? They will do that sometimes. Only takes a few seconds but it might be worth it. You will make your tongue sore.

I think I’ll just tough it out. It’s so far from here I hate to waste the gas, you know!

@AmbiePam Oh, I definitely know that feeling! It's way too close to $5 a gallon here and everyone is trying to conserve! Just hate to think you have to go so long to get the stitch out.

The more you know, you can’t do something, the more you want to do it

@AmbiePam did you ever hear that expression, especially with parents and teenage daughters that if you tell the daughter that you don’t like her boyfriend or don’t want her dating him that will make her want him even more

What is it about when you know something is there you want to touch it all the time? No current things like that for me fortunaely, but it has happened

I get it. It is like when you eat popcorn and a kernel gets stuck between your teeth
