Confused: I thought people want us to respond to their discussions.

Hi OrangJuice, I wasn't disappointed, I was amused. I simply responded to a discussion which was on my home page, not by a friend. Still if people only want responders to respond and agree with their every word and not have opinions of their own they should really put a disclaimer on the top to make it clear.

I support you totally thea...i think everyone has a right to their opinion ..however at the same time we have elements here who think they only have a right.......

Hi MistersweetiepieMisterwit, now when have I ever greeted you negatively? Your point is a good one but one is not able to communicate through pm with people not on ones friends list, and as you know I keep a tight watch on mine. One of my things as it were is to only add friends who do respond to their own discussions as I believe it is bad mannered to not do so. I often respond to things which appear on my home page though, as well as to friends discussions, thus taking a chance on being ignored.

I was talking about others ...Can you imagine a person starts a discussion and gets so many responses and the same person starts a new discussion without responding to the previous one.....

Well this particular poster had made previous discussions about how no one responded and I did advise that one must respond back or people would stop bothering but naturally the good advice was ignored. But hey, I got a response this time

I did not say that... ...I did not say you responded negatively I said you will if you have to...Is that clear....spoiling my reputation.. ..women are so confusing...

But next time don't give advices....as you have seen the results...and if you want give any advice to a guy tell me and I will inform them on your behalf..

I think all are confusing each other. Men confuses women and women confuses men and finally the Creator gets confused saying all are confusing each other.

This reminds me of when I used to go to yahoo answers and post answers and some people on there were doing the same kind of thing. In fact myLot is almost the same only with a small earning potential for posting discussions. I just joined the other day but I am already starting to get addicted LOL. I really wanted to PM someone but they haven't approved my friend request yet LOL. Okay if some of this doesn't make sense it might be because I am kinda insanely tired. I did find it amusing though. But then again I am easily amused. I haven't started my own discussion yet but I was planning on it. Been too dang busy replying to others discussions.

Well you wouldn't have found the discussion from a bit of profile stalking I'm afraid as when I opened the alert to respond back to say I will respond where ever I choose, my response and the comment had been deleted. So instead I opened a discussion. Even if the poster had requested the response removed there was no reason at all for admin to do so as it was a just a pleasant response.
However I lost not a whit of cool and was rather amused, and will look out for more such tedious discussions to respond to as I believe we have the right to respond where ever we like.

Just curious thea. Is "thea" a feminine form of the word theos? Is it the equivalent of the english word divine of godess?

Definitely not, I didn't take it as a female god but from something personal.

I was kept guessing too whether 'thea is a male but it turned out to be a Greek 'goddess'. It took me a while to read through her discussions to find out that she is of the same species as me.

Hi corrycrystal, I did find it rather amusing as the poster had only posted recently that hardly anyone responded to their quality discussions so obviously I wished to help out and bump up responses for that disillusioned person.
I do respond to my friends discsussions first as they usually post interesting discussions, but I also dabble around into things on my home page too, and will most definitely continue to do so. I don't usually bother with people again who don't comment back but I did receive a comment so won't be deterred.

i kind of wonder if this was the same person i responded on one of their small amount of discussions because they responded to one of mine and one of his 3 friends responded to my response saying, "if you dont know how to help then why do you respond here" of which i said im just trying to help out as there was only one response here and this person had responded on one of my discussions. so i think i know what you mean. sometimes hateful people on here but not always.

@bunnybon, well I saw the same thing again yesterday with the same poster shouting at a responder not to answer unless they could read the topic properly and the responder had done nothing wrong.

These fools are only hurting themselves. I would go back to their profile and answer ever dang one of their discussions just for spite......on other words I guess I would be a troll! OR NOT A TROLL!?

Yes you've never sent me packing when I respond. I'm sure some may want to but it would be far easier just to ignore me, after all it would be pretty obvious that such a comment would only go ahead and inspire a discussion. You are always most welcoming to all who respond to you.

I stayed away from myLot quite awhile due to my PC problem.
I sent my PC for repair and ended up I have to spend USD100
to change the 'motherboard' and CD disk player. Since then,
the program/ PC became slow and it would not response to
myLot when I response to any discussion. It will loads for
ages. That really annoying, so I am using my hubby and my
sister notebook now when it is available...

Tough luck Iriene, I worry that this one will die on me anyday and probably will be beyond fixing.

Hi lelin, people should put disclaimers up if they don't want people to respond. And if someone got annoyed that I continued to do so and my star number dropped it would be pretty obvious to report. Quite funny I thought.

Hi Tony, well you've never seen me but be anything but polite I'm sure. No there's nothing to sort out, I found it funny, and the only effect it will have is to make sure I don't miss any more of that persons scintillating discussions. I could understand if it was a political showdown but some of us can even get through those without shoutingbut this was just a bit of drivel category.

Hi mimpi, the comment itself made me smileI actually found it amusing. This is hardly the place to be if one is going to get choosy over who responds, and it wasn't the sort of discussion that could lead to an argument. I will continue to respond where I like and if someone doesn't like it they are perfectly free to say so, until of course their comment gets deleted as it already had today, but luckily it was still sitting in my alert box to amuse me.

Hi Ingkingderers. I think people who are choosy who responds should either ignore the responders they wish they could choose not to have there, or stick a disclaimer up. I really don't care if someone doesn't want me to respond or not, I will continue to respond where I feel like it, after all it is the whole point of posting discussions.

That is true.. that's the whole point of mylot actually... hehehe.. anyway, I think we have the right to respond to any discussion that we want. so just go on and do your thing.

Hi michaeldadona, wise words indeed and I would never be a chicken as the people who know me here well know. Infortunately though after reading the alert I followed my usual practice of opening it, as I do to any I feel a further response is warranted. However my response and the comment had both been deleted, although as I say my response was quite innocous and could have caused no offence to anyone. I can only conclude that the poster reported their own words to get them deleted after writing them and realising how pathetic they appeared, I have no understanding of why my response went with it. I suppose I'll just have to go back later and re respond.
Naturally though I don't quite go along with your wishes of death to such posters, but a bit of public humiliation never hurts.
