Pounding on the Door

Around 7:15am there was pounding on the door so loud and emphatic I RAN to the door. What was it? One of those individual Amazon delivery people. My dog went nuts. I had visions of a bloody neighbor needing immediate help. But hey, at least it didn’t linger by my front door; although I do get an email notification when something has been delivered. How did you start off your day?

That's weird. They just leave stuff on the porch here. Maybe because of package theft though they do that in your area.

I get knocking, and plenty of Amazon delivery people in the trucks do knock, but I’ve never heard this pounding. It made me wonder if the poor person was having a bad morning. I can understand that.

That is insane, I had a quiet start of the day, we got up at 5:30 and later went to the store to buy ice creams, tomatoes and mozzarella for our lunch.

I hope there was a doggie treat in the delivery.

It was something to review, but unfortunately not a doggie treat. Fortunately, I had a squeezable treat for her, and that made up for her aggravation.

Ours just lays the package by the door, takes photo, and leaves. Why did he pound on your door? Do you have instructions for Amazon to knock for deliveries so that nobody steals the package from outside your door?

That’s what the normal Amazon person in the trucks do. They take the picture, leave it in front of my door, and sometimes knock. That’s just not what I get from those independent carriers who deliver in their own cars. I still get an email saying it arrived, but there is never any picture. And not since those two guys tried to kick in my front door years ago have I been so alarmed.

@ambiePam Well the sun came through my window Wednesday morning … oh dear, that sounds like the start of some country song.

I'm glad you got your package delivered even though the knocking (or pounding) was excessive. I probably would have expected something disastrous going on outside with all that pounding.

Loud knocking would have me running to the door too.
