Kandase It is worse when it happens late night when you are sleeping. There isn't much time to do what one has to do to protect oneself.

Kandase Yes l am happy it wasn't stronger. I hear a lot happening in California seems like a fault line runs through there. 6.2 is strong.

Kandase It is not nice. You wonder if it will get stronger, should you seek cover or leave the house while you can - but then the shaking stops. Depending on the strength a lot of damage can be done in a matter of seconds.

Kandase I guess it was a small one too. The Dominican Republic is in the same region with Jamaica and there is about 200 small ones in the region per year.

Kandase We get around 200 small Quakes in Jamaica and the region per year. The last one l felt in my area was sometime early last year.
