2/14/24 - Update on My Husband

Finally some good news -- in fact, two pieces of good news:
They have found a rehab facility for my husband; and they specialize in patients who have conditions such as hospital delirium. He may be transferred as soon as today. I am going to call and see if the patients can have a phone installed.
One of the nurses gave my husband a cell phone; and we were able to speak with each other for a change. He sounded almost like his old self and even ate a little bit yesterday.
That's all the news I have for now. Thank you again for your continued prayers, thoughts and support. You are all such good friends.

Glad to hear that he is doing better and that they found him a rehab he can go to. I hope though that he will be able to come home soon.

@MarieCoyle I know it helps when I"m there; but I can't get around and need someone there to push the wheelchair. I just spoke with him and it brought tears to my eyes because I just couldn't understand him. Breaks my heart.

Wow...that is a great news ...on Feb 14th. While I don't think god listened to me, I still prayed for you and pray for you and your husband. I think things will improve going forward.
Don't you all identify rehabs upfront? I mean, last moment people shouldn't be running helter skelter to find one. That is the reason I have identified a couple.

The rehab facility is closer than the hospital but not really close to home. He won't be going there anytime soon.
