Weed guy called me last night. He gave me a quote and said he will be coming over on Saturday. I nixed the stone idea...it was an additional $1,700 for decorative stone. He apologized profusely for not calling on Monday.
Cousin #3 is coming over today and spending 3 hours working on my to-do list. Yay!
The US Government is planning on opening a fly factory in Texas to combat the spread of flesh-eating screwworm flies which would infest American cattle. Sterile male New World Screwworm Flies would mate with females and prevent them from laying eggs in the wounds of cattle. The eggs would have then become flesh-eating larvae.
A new variant of COVID-19 is being called "razor blade throat" COVID. It causes a very painful sore throat along with the usual symptoms.. Airport screening in the US detected the new variant in some travelers arriving in California, Washington, Virginia and New York and had traveled from either the eastern Mediterranean, Southeast Asia or the Western Pacific.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Stuffed shells, squash, carrots, pears/peaches
Dessert/Snack - Banana chocolate chunk muffin, ice cream bar
Dinner - Buffalo chicken/Provolone sandwich, BBQ chips, banana

I'm glad weed guy will be over to clean out the flowerbeds. And yes, I knew the decorative gravel was expensive.
While waiting for the mechanic yesterday morning, I started pulling some weeds out of the flowerbed here. I didn't do a lot but any is better than nothing.
New variants of Covid will have to hurt more than that or maybe make male genitalia fall off before people carrying it won't be allowed access to the US. 
I ate a sausage, egg and cheese croissant for breakfast, some Mexican lasagna for lunch and no supper yesterday.

That Covid sounds nasty, but hopefully, it doesn't kill people. Too bad the stones are so expensive. Decorative stones would be nice.

Yeah for the flower bed man coming over this weekend, hopefully he can help you out.
Yesterday I had a bagel for lunch and we had chicken kabobs with tiny potatoes on them for supper, with mushrooms and beans and a garden salad on the side.
Tonight is pizza night.

@LindaOHio I am looking forward to pizza this week, I usually just take it for granted, but I have an actual taste for it today.
My manager had an important meeting that she had to attend at the last minute, as well she had scheduled a team meeting with us, and without any time for her to change our schedules, she was able to give us that hour off. I finished working 1 hour earlier today, and am not due back until next Monday.

Not flies, that’s for sure!

It's good to know that the weed guy called and apologised. It seems like Covid is here to stay with us in some variant or other. Cases are once again rising everywhere.
I am going to have my evening tea in a while. I plan to have some sandwiches for dinner.

Most any type of landscaping work or such is now extremely expensive. Stone work always is. But at least the weeds will be gone for awhile. Those darn weeds can take over if a person can't keep at them all the time.
That new Covid variant sounds terrible. I hope not to get it, ever!

Just having the weeds removed. Because it's in such bad shape, he's charging quite a bit. I didn't want to pay more for mulch.
