So what did you end up doing for the 4th? I was hoping someone would call; but it was very quiet until the fireworks started. The guy next door must have spent a gzillion dollars on fireworks because he set them off nonstop for almost 2 hours until 11 pm. The big ones shook the house!
Breakfast - PB&J sandwich
Lunch - Chicken/Muenster sandwich, chips
Dessert/Snack - Lemon blueberry muffin
Dinner - Chicken/Muenster sandwich, ice cream bar
What did you eat yesterday?

I guess I fell asleep because at 9pm the fireworks started, and I, along with my dog, about jumped out of our skin. Of course, those blasted fireworks lasted until 2am.
Yesterday, I pretty much dealt with an awful migraine. So I know I had some yogurt, and pineapple ham jerky, but that is about all I remember.

I went to Chuy’s for lunch (chicken taco) and walked about a mile and a half. Dinner was cheese sandwiches. Plus lots of fruit fake sorbets, yogurt, fiber, apples, and water!

@LindaOHio — there’s a mall across the street from Chuy’s (well, about half a mile walking distance).

Sorry about all the fireworks...we heard them around here probably even after midnight.
We went to the parade, but wasn't very fun this year.... the rest of the day was just like any other Friday.
Sounds like interesting meals

We went to bed and tried to sleep, in spite of the noise around us.

With all the fireworks right next door, it was much too loud to try and sleep.

I had a nice 4th of July. Hot dogs on the grill, watched neighbors shooting fireworks from my porch, and caught on TV some of the White House 4th celebration. So, patriotic and tastefully done! Makes you proud to be an American and to live in a country of such opportunity.
Sounds like people got carried away with the fireworks in your neighborhood too...

No major "organized" fireworks shows for us, but we had quite the show from people in the houses across the street from the campground, so we got our share of fireworks for sure. I swear, we probably saw a couple grand or more go up in smoke. lol
For dinner we had marinated steaks on the grill with deviled egg potato salad. Yummy good eats.

That sounds terrible. My boyfriend and I actually had to leave our coffee shop parking lot and drive further away to get a good view of the fireworks without destroying our ears. Up close, they are really loud and sound like rifle shots.
I can't imagine what it would be like to have a fireworks show literally the next house over. Time to get the earplugs. Ow.

I remember when I was young going to the Cleveland waterfront to watch fireworks. The sound was so loud that you could feel it in your chest. It was deafening. I just kept the doors closed Saturday.
