Feast or famine. Today both cousins will be coming. I have tons of things for cousin #3 to do, including setting up my new medical alert system. She really should drive the Subaru as well. It's been too long.
What's on tap for you today?
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, carrots, fruit cocktail
Dessert/Snack - Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Cookie
Dinner- Stouffer's Beef and Broccoli - WAY TOO SPICY!
What did you eat yesterday?

Hope the cousins get a lot accomplished for you today especially your medical alert system.
I'm mid way through the week of being home alone and I do miss my daughter. It's hard living alone
Last night I had grilled chicken on a salad.

I agree 200% with not liking to live alone. I hate it. Some crave solitude but not me. Cousin #3 got my medical alert system set up. Your salad sounds yummy.

Your home will be full of activity today, I am happy for you for that Linda.
Yesterday I had to work until 5, so was lazy and just made a quickie meal for us.
It was tater tots and breaded shrimp.
We each had a garden salad on the side.
The weather has been so much cooler as of late that it has me thinking of soups, and I may make some this weekend for my workday lunches next week. I noticed cauliflower on sale last week in the produce department, so perhaps cauliflower soup with a bit of broccoli and a tiny bit of carrots (for seasoning) would be nice.

I love broccoli. I could make an entire meal of it...and I have! Cauliflower soup sounds good too.

I got up about 4:30am to pee and felt fairly awake, so decided to cook up some potatoes and make some jello, so I'll be having that sometime later today. I also made a cup of green tea with apple cider vinegar and honey, and had a cookie, but I think I'll go back to bed as soon as I finish here.

@LindaOHio I did, thank you, and now I think I'll do the "rinse and repeat" thing... my head is spinning and my throat is ticklish still from that major reflux episode the other day.

@LadyDuck Yes, I need to downsize. I have a whole closet and armoire full of my husband's clothes which need to be donated.

I can’t stand very spicy food. Hope cousin #3 gets it all done.

@LindaOHio As long as it gets done. But hopefully it won’t take as long to do everything.

If you can, I'd go out and just start it once in a while. I know it's hard for you to get around, though. Either way.
I made a batch of Bremer Salisbury steaks with a medley of roasted potato, onion, red bell pepper, and zucchini on the side. Very good eats!
There were no leftovers.

Yes, I make sure that it gets started and driven occasionally. Very important to drive it.

@porwest Probably but I'm afraid to drive anymore. I would drive if I absolutely had to but in no other circumstance.

@LindaOHio And you still won't absolutely drive it? I know you can drive, and I am pretty sure you have a license. Might be nice just to hop in every once in a while and take a drive, even if you aren't intending on going somewhere in particular. It would do you some good, I think.

Anyone who comes and runs errands for you should drive the Subaru. We had hamburgers last night. Guacamole as well. I ate salty snacks all day yesterday.

Are you getting enough hydration? Your body could be craving salt to preserve the liquid you have.

Definitely a “feast” kind of day with both cousins around! Cousin #3 hopefully gets to drive that Subaru
. Yesterday? I went light - just some toast for breakfast, sardines for lunch and leftover mung bean soup, paired with dried fish for dinner. A mix of comfort and surprise with that beef and broccoli of yours. Sounds like it packed more punch than expected! Hope today’s meals treat you more gently.

Yes, I would never buy the beef and broccoli again. Today from Meals on Wheels we are having meatloaf.

I could go for a Dairy Queen BBQ chicken fingers basket. All I need is for someone to get it for me.

Hope all gets done with your two cousins coming. Have a good time with them.

Suprised the beef and broccoli would be so spicy. Normally that isn't a spice dish. I had chicken caesar salad, pulled barbecue chicken, and cherrios and blueberries.

I’m going to enjoy the relatively nice day before the heat comes back.
I had the usual for lunch and Progresso chicken pot pie soup and a cheese sammich for dinner. Plus apples, yogurt, and fiber!
