We’re Officially Back

Well, we’re home now, but on our way back, we, of course, had to stop at Buc-ee’s again, and the kids got a toy while I got the beaver nuggets. Who wants to try the beaver nuggets?
There was an unfortunate happening while we were there though. I had eaten a nice hotel breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage), and was feeling fine. Until I wasn’t. I tried running for the bathroom, but didn’t quite make it. I threw up by one of the many drink machines. I apologized profusely, but they were very gracious, and within 90 seconds it was cleaned up (the place is huge and has employees everywhere).
We have decided to try to go next September (we DID have travel insurance), back to Canada, but without the stop at Prince Edward Island, which is why my sister wanted to go in the first place (that ship’s contract with that port is apparently up?) However, my BIL has promised her, some way, somehow, he will get her there someday. And this time we go on a cruise? We will be driving. No more depending on the airlines.
There’s another semi update, but I just threw up again so I’m going to rest. (And yes, I realize it wouldn’t be fun to throw up while I’m on the cruise, but it’s just occasionally, and I feel just fine afterwards).

That’s why I drive everywhere. If my luggage is going to get lost, at least I’ll be lost with it!
I hate those stomach bugs. Twenty four hours feels like 24 days with it.
Hope you’re feeling better soon. Once you’re well you can share the beaver nuggets. (Those things are SOOOO good!)

I am so sorry you had to come back home and sorry you did not feel well.
I know how horrible it is when you have to throw up and you cannot reach the toilet. It happened to me when I had kidney stones. At least I was at home, but I was so embarrassed.

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you feel better by the time you read this. What are beaver nuggets?

Beaver nuggets are really hard to describe. They’re like awesome popcorn, without the obnoxious texture that gets pieces stuck in your teeth. My sister described them like a cross between popcorn and corn nuts.To me, they are much tastier than that description.

You all must have gotten up really early to be home already?
I am so sorry you are feeling badly along with the cancellation of the trip. I know you looked forward to it so much.

I got completely marooned in Dallas once for over two days. Flights canceled, bad storms and high winds. And that airport is most generally a circus, it was good that you had a place to rest before you had to go home.

That sounds sensible. So sorry this one didn't work out though.
I bought some jerky there for my son but I had Buccee nuggets too.

The Buc-ees sounds like alot of fun, watching the children and browsing yourself would be fun.
I am sorry that you were not well for a bit, and I hope that your tummy will settle and the remainder of the day you will feel fine.
Does Amtrak offer any rail tours originating in the US and meandering up through the eastern provinces at all?
That would be an adventure, much in the same way that a cruise is an adventure.
When we go out East, we plan on taking the Sleeper train, where you can eat, sleep, shower and enjoy the view from the second level panoramic viewing seats as you go from province to province. We have not researched enough to see if we have the opportunity to get out and explore along the way in each province.
