There used to be one cable channel that showed all those. When I was young we watched all the westerns. I've gotten rather tired of them.

Thanks for sharing this! There's something so comforting about those classic westerns. It's great they have a dedicated channel now. I'll definitely be checking that out for some weekend nostalgia.

@LindaOHio That's right! It's always fun connecting with people from all over the world here. The MyLot community is wonderfully diverse

I had to watch too many westerns as a kid, so that wouldn’t appeal to me.

Never watched any because didn't seem like my cup of tea. That is helpful to those who do like those shows though

There was a mini series called ''Into The West'' back in the early 2000's. Sort of a tale of two extended families, one bunch traveling from the Midwest in to the far west, and the other was native Americans...how they interacted, etc. It was very good, and very interesting. Covered a lot of history, and of course I love history.
I used to watch the old Westerns, at least some of them, with my Grandma when we sewed or quilted. She loved them. I think I recall Gunsmoke and Bonanza the most, with Big Valley a favorite of hers too.

That might be worth looking up, if I felt like watching TV again. I really wanted to be a cowboy when I was young and enjoyed all those shows.
