Lake & a Pond

Well, as of yesterday, I am a proud owner of a lake and a pond. The lake is in my kitchen, and the pond is in my bathroom. That’s right, somewhere there is a leak. I used all my towels and my sheets to try to mop it up. It’s not like you can put a bucket underneath it. There is no drip drip. It’s just a steady run. So first thing this morning, I’ll be making my way to the apartment office.
What is the last household repair you’ve had to get fixed?

Toilet and bathroom floor had to be replaced as couldn't see the leak. I'm just lucky that there wasn't more damage.

Oh, my. None of this sounds good. If anyone ever needed a better place to live, it's you. I would think the idiots in charge there would realize that a leak in an apartment building will go through the floor in no time flat, and leak below...and cause even more problems. I am just so very sorry, Amber.

I guess you could try drama...call and ''cry'' and say you are afraid you are going to fall with water everywhere. I would think that would make someone come running, to avoid a lawsuit.

@MarieCoyle Great minds think alike. I did tell them I almost face planted (which is true), and said it would be unfortunate if the complex was liable. Her eyes got really big, and she assured me they’d be there. Because that wet kitchen floor really did almost take me out. I didn’t even see the water until I almost fell. At least with the bathroom, I heard a sound.

I can't believe that you are having such water issues and I really hope they address this situation immediately before the ceiling falls on your head. Gotta be careful of back mold too from that water.

I have a bit of plumbing that needs to be fixed. I need money to do it. You are in an awful place. They should just give you a new one and fix this mess.

Just stuff for routine maintenance I guess. I have some pipes under the floor in the kitchen and some in one bedroom that need to be repaired though. They can both leak, but it isn't a daily thing.

I'm sorry about that. The last household repair was buying a new dishwasher.

I hope they get to it quickly.
We had to get the washing machine fixed last year. Thankfully, that was ours and just had to wait until we could afford to fix it. We haven't had household problems in several years that we needed the landlady to fix.

@AmbiePam I agree... We had to use the local laundromat a couple of times before we saved up enough to get ours fixed. I hate driving somewhere else to do our laundry.

Thank goodness you don't own the place!!! The biggest repair I had this year was having a new roof put on the house.

I am so sorry, there is all the time something that needs to be fixed.
Here no fixings for the moment. In our home the last thing we had to fix was the furnace, it costed A LOT!
