Good Morning

I'm back!
Today is the first day of December. Yes, I know you knew that. Whether you woke up to cold December days with snow on the ground (I did) or you're living in the land of summer and warm sandy beaches, it's officially December and there are 25 days until Christmas.
To recap the past year.
I've been working hard to get a couple of books published. It won't happen this year. But I'm hopeful Faith to Believe will see publication next month or at least by February.
I just finished up Novel November's 50K challenge. I started a new book in February with a prompt from Dove Promise chocolates: Write your own fairy tale and be your own hero. It was the first candy I opened in January and took until February before I had the hint of a book to start on. Thus, Firestorm was born and with the Novel Challenge, is finished with 111,831 total words and 349 pages. I finished the 50 K challenge November 20 and began the editing and revision. I'm doing something new with this novel. I'm using AI. In most instances I'm writing the story. In the cases where I need technical scientific help, I did use the AI information. Yes, Firestorm is science fiction. I won't be sharing the story here as I will be publishing it in the future. When I have the blurb ready, I'll share that.
Health wise, there have been changes. I'm using a walker now as of last month. I finally went to Urgent Care because my right foot was in a lot of pain. I though it was fractured. No. Just severe arthritis and bone spurs. My walker is my permanent companion. Though most of the time I feel I don't need it. I'm using it anyway.
I'm still doing my Daily Bible Study. To view it, you will need to go to WordPress. My website is on my home page profile. Or you can request it from me and I'll add you to my e-mail list.
I hosted a dinner party in November for the youth pastor and her family. They have five girls, including a set of twins, six years to 10 months. I miscounted the number of people. And realized there were eight of us not seven. I had just enough chairs. The dinner was fantastic.
I still attend Writer's Guild every month. I'll be attending that tomorrow night. It's our Christmas meeting. We're bringing books to swap. I'm giving one of my own this year. I think I'll give Legacy, but I might change my mind. I'm leaning on that one right now.
The complex where I live has seen some upheaval. I think we're on the third manager this year, but could be the fourth. They've been a revolving door for the past two years. As such getting hold of anyone in the office is impossible, they're rarely there. My heat went out in September. Maintenance came right away, but it took a month for the heating vendor to get the part in. My son bought me a space heater. It's now being used by my neighbor whose heat went out right after I got mine fixed. She's been waiting for three weeks now.
In September, I attended a 50+ conference. It was a blessing, also the coldest weekend of the year. I bought a stylish stocking cap and a blanket from the camp store. With winter now in full bloom, I use both.
In October I turned on my fiber optic Christmas tree, and bought a pre-lit tree the end of October and it's also set up and gives off a beautiful light show as it flickers between colorful and white. There are multiple settings for the lights. It's not tall, maybe four feet.
I took the selfie you see on my profile on the first day it snowed, Friday. It's a beautiful wonderland out there.
I will continue the Thankful post again. Though I also post one every day on my website, it will not be the same as that one.
That's my year in a nutshell. How have you been? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. My latest rock painting.

I’m glad to see you! You have had so much going on, that’s for sure. I’m sorry your foot has been giving you such problems, but I’m glad to hear it is not fractured.
Not much has changed for me. I just got back from a vacation I took with my sister and her family. My dad has decided to retire in one more year, but, of course, my apartment is still giving me fits. It’s better than nothing though!

Welcome back! It's good to see you here!
So far, nothing has changed for me. I'm still here and today, I'm watching snowfall out my bedroom window. My car was covered in ice and is now also covered in snow.
I'm glad I don't need to be outside in it.
Congrats on the new book!

@just4him Seeing the big, fluffy flakes falling is okay but I don't like seeing them accumulating on the ground. At least I won't need to shovel them off the driveway.

@DaddyEvil We had only the tiny flakes, but it was so beautiful.
I'm glad you don't need to shovel them off your driveway.

I'm glad you're back. You've been one of the good ones. My last year has been fun to say the least. dealing with stroke recovery. You know it's funny. Earlier this wek, George decided to start getting around the house without his walker, which is now living in our van, and you started using one. I think it's funny how life works sometimes.

Have missed you very very much. Glad to hear you are doing mostly good and staying busy.
You have been letting that white crap escape again. It's supposed to be here this evening. Except for that everything is good here

I'm very happy for you. Congratulations.
Thank you. Yes, it does get dark early. I think it's the only thing I don't like about winter. I'm so happy to finally have snow.

Welcome back!!! Busy and eventful year for you. My hubby and I have started a writing group at our house. It's supposed to be based on poetry but whatever goes. Very few show up but we made solid friends with a Grandma and her granddaughter and what a sweet power house they are. I admire your writing tenacity. I'm currently attempting to revive a short story mess that I wrote three years ago.

That's wonderful. Our group started small too, but it's always growing. We're looking for another meeting place as the restaurant where we currently meet is getting too small. I hope you enjoy growing pains in your writing group.
Never give up on your past work. I'm sure you can make it work.

Great to hear things are going mostly well for you and so glad to hear you are back. We have missed you. As for AI, I have been using it to cover some of my original music and so far it's producing amazing results. I even created a new YouTube channel to share my efforts.

I'm glad AI is working well for your music.
I like the suggestions it gives and it really helps with the scientific information.
