10 days until spring. I can't believe we all made it through that brutally cold winter. It was over 70F yesterday. Cousin #2 is beside herself with happiness. Aside from loving her trailer and the surroundings, she has been finding food/alcohol bargains. The cost of living in Homosassa is 16% lower than the rest of Florida. The dog loves the yard and spends a lot of time out there with her. J came yesterday and got quite a bit done. If I decide to move, I will rely on her heavily to pack up tons of belongings to donate or to move. Breakfast - Granola bar Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Chicken Cordon Bleu, mashed potatoes, Lima beans, roll, applesauce Dessert/Snack - Brownie, low salt nuts Dinner - Stouffer's Chicken and Rice, cherries What did you eat yesterday? It was 87 degrees yesterday, and humid. I’m not ready for all that again when it never really went away. Yesterday, I had Mexican corn, blueberry goat cheese, two eggs, and a pear.

@AmbiePam I truly hate the hot summer temperatures when it gets so terribly miserable. I can always put more layers on in the winter, but there are limits to what a person can take off and still be decent!

It was 76F in my part of Missouri yesterday. My bedroom got too warm to be comfortable for me. I opened the door so the heat went out into the rest of the house. We really need to put some type of coating on the West facing windows to block the heat. I ate a sausage, egg and chees croissant for breakfast and made a huge pork loin roast with potatoes and onions with garlic and spices. It is really good! I'll need to look at cutting it up and bagging most of the meat for the freezer.

@LindaOHio Yes, we have blackout drapes on every window. They don't block out enough of the heat from the sun hitting those windows.

I love a good pork roast. Have you tried insulated drapes? I have them on the windows in the living room. Keeps the heat and cold out.

Just now
I didn't know she had a trailer. You really would not want to live there I don't think..too cramped even if a double wide. March and April are still pretty nice in that area..my former in laws lived there, but after that,,,not so good.

I wish our weather was as nice...but when you all got the brutal cold we didn't. So, I guess it is only fair. We've had crazy wind the past couple days. That's good you'd have her to help with packing things up if you do decide to move.

I am glad to hear about your cousin #2 and that she's in a place that has lower cost of living. Do you plan to move there with her?

It seems that Cousin #2 is really enjoying that area that also seems not extremely expensive. I hope that J can be of help should you decide to move.

We visited my brother-in-law and his wife yesterday and so I have eaten 2 slices of yoghurt Mandarine cake. It was a light cake and delicious but it didn’t do me good. I think I have gain weight.

Yay, you went an entire day without a PB&J!! I recall making a chicken rice casserole and broccoli. The son loved it, so it was a win. It did taste really good. I know cousin #2 has her cousin there, is there any way she can meet some other people, too? I hope so. And it's great that she is adapting so well.

I fell off the wagon after 77 days and had some chocolate. But this morning I'm over it, have forgiven myself, and it's back on the wagon.
