The Wait is Over

After the pre op from hell the surgery is done. I had to have general anesthesia which I absolutely didn't want but it seems my tight valves could cause a very serious drop in blood pressure if I had a spinal. So after being assured that the anti nausea medication they were going me would keep me from throwing up, I went ahead. My IV had to be placed on the top of my hand but everything else was pretty smooth. My medication kick in as I was rolled through the OR doors. My recovery took a couple hours longer than expected. My oxygen level was low and I kept falling asleep. It actually was pretty funny. They would be talking to me and boom I was asleep. They kept saying are you asleep?? I guess so lol. Anyway I'm home, PT visits today. I slept a solid 6 hours last night on the electric recliner in Kasey's living room. I have master getting up from the recliner to standing. Bathroom is still challenging but doable. Dogs are not happy they can't be with me. They can't sleep with me either until I see the doctor on October 15. The ice machine is amazing. Pain level so far is manageable. All is well and than you for your prayers.
