The collage shows three antique sewing machines. These would have had to be turned by hand. It must have been quite difficult at times to try to hold the material with one hand and turn the handle with the other.

It is so unfortunate that I was quite unwell and disturbed during my birthday month. July. I usually celebrate it on 17ths of every July. Unfortunately this time round it passed almost unnoticed because I was not in a lively mood....

Pandan leaves also known as biryani leaves are used by some to give ordinary rice that exotic flavour only basmati rice provides
Basmati rice is expensive but the pandan leaves when added while making biryani gives the biryani...

I wrote earlier about the sandalwood cutters. The whole tree was pulled out of the ground as the roots were quite substantial and could be used in processing.
The sandalwood was carried on drays pulled by either horses, donkeys...
