12/12/22 - Meals

Didn't get the phones set up last night. Hubs was in terrible pain and didn't want to do anything. I'm getting very concerned about him; and I don't know what to do. He needs to go get the X-rays of his neck, hips and knees done so that his pain management doctor will know what's going on.
There is a big winter storm headed our way; but I don't know how much it will affect us yet.
Breakfast - Fruit and grain breakfast bar
Lunch - Chicken parmesan and gnocchi, roll - put my Meals on Wheels lunch in the freezer!
Dessert/Snack - Donut and decaf coffee
Dinner - Fruit and grain breakfast bar

Why hasn't your hubby gotten the x-rays done yet? (When I don't want to get something done, Pretty threatens to call an ambulance until I go so we won't be stuck at the hospital with no way to get home. 
One of these days I'll stay at home and tell the ambulance crew she is the one who needs to go and giggle when she has to walk home. 
)
I had steamed broccoli and a sausage patty for breakfast, some Cheerios with almond milk for lunch and chicken taquitos for supper.

Because he's the biggest procrastinator the world has ever seen...I told him he needs to go so that maybe they can do something about the pain....he's so stubborn! I hope you have a good day too.

@DaddyEvil The sun actually came out yesterday; but with this storm system in the area now, it has disappeared again behind the clouds. Hope you and Pretty have a great day.

Hmm, yesterday, ah yes, chicken tenders, tater tots and fresh vegetables and for dessert Walmart little pecan pie.
My gosh, your pitiful husband... don't know if there's such a service, portable exray machine that can come to you. Maybe the hospital or doctor might know if there's one or someone can bring you and your husband to an urgent care clinic near by that has x-ray machine. Good luck!

Sorry about your husband's pain. He should not procrastinate it. Hopefully he gets the Xray done soon and gets the right kind of treatment to help him. Take care
I had a heavy breakfast of eggs( sunny side up), toasts and brocolli. I am full and will skip lunch. I will grab a banana shake if I feel hungry in the late afternoon, else I am good to go for early dinner.

Don't let him go too long in extreme pain, that isn't good for anyone to endure for long. If you don't have power, do you have things to eat? If you are in the path of that storm, the weather people keep saying be ready to lose power. I hate to think of all the people who could be without heat. Take care, Linda.

Thanks. We had a standby generator installed a couple of months ago. It will go on automatically if the power goes out.

@MarieCoyle Me too. It works really well except that when it goes off, it screws up our electrical system. There is a switch that needs to be replaced which will solve that problem; but it hasn't come in yet.

He does seem to be having more issues these days and hopefully you can get things figured out and at least make the days more comfortable. Keep us posted, as I know you will.
I made braised pork steaks last night but changed it up a little bit. Seasoned the pork with garlic powder and onion powder and some No Salt seasoning I get from Dollar Tree that is actually quite good. Browned them, drizzled on a little Country Bob's sauce, then added in chopped onions, tomatoes and zucchini. Drizzled on a little more Country Bob's sauce then added in two cups of chicken broth, put a lid on and cooked and served over a bed of hot, white rice.

I hope they can help your husband with all the pain he's in.
I heard the east is getting beat by snow storms and the west is getting ready for some kind of hurricane or something, I just pray that I don't have to worry about snow, I don't have the clothes for that kind of cold.
