Most of myLot members surely know that "trick-or-treating" is a Halloween tradition in which children go door-to-door and recite the phrase to receive candy. This tradition, called "souling", dates back to the...

Loretta @MarshaMusselman You triggered a memory for me. I hated having to do this at school. It never failed, a bully, would wait for someone to try to bite an apple, and push down on their head dunking. The teacher still made us do it. He did it to me, I threw an...

Valerie J. Routhieaux Thank you for taking a peek at my blog. Faith to Believe won't be published until early next year. It's ready for someone to proof it for me. I received your beautiful Christmas letter. I love the water colors. You wanted to know about publishing. I go...

While I was in California, I noticed they did something they didn’t do when I lived there as a child. Now, I knew they did it, but I hadn’t seen it. It was at fast food places where the trash was. One can was for trash, and one...

DE @MarshaMusselman Yes, we can have temperature extremes all year round. My city is on a plateau in the foothills of the Ozark mountains. We have significant temp swings even compared to Springfield, only 50 miles away.

Suwardie Actually, my family doesn't welcome my wife, so my family once urged me to leave my wife. But I didn't want to. I still can't just leave my wife and child because my wife has an illness. Maybe that's why my family doesn't welcome her well until now.

DE @MarshaMusselman I want some things but we don't need them. We have high winds (25 to 35 mph right now) and I'd rather not drive in that. My car still needs a jumpstart, too. I can't get that done on a weekend.
