Michael Tomatoes around the stump sounds like a good idea, and tying them up against it should work fine. Maybe some marigolds in the center, they stay pretty and help keep bugs away from the tomatoes. I feel the same about putting things away, it makes the cold feel...

Anna Tomatoes around sounds to be a great idea. Marigolds are good to keep pests away from tomatoes. Plant marigolds in the middle of the stump.
