Of course I did regret putting houseplants out. I cover them at night right now. I just thought the blooming ones especially would enjoy the heat and sun--then it chilled off on us.
The reason I am sure it is spring is not the...

It is cooler today, by a little bit. It got up to 65.
My problem is the wind and overcast skies. This is not how it was at 8 this morning. It feels like a really wild spring is on tap for us.
I got up, got ready for church. So...

We are having highs of 90 F and above. I know it is not permanent. It is still about three weeks until our average last date of frost.
I am moving my houseplants outdoors anyway.
If I need to cover them some nights, I certainly...

I put in a call to the clinic yesterday to see what the plan was when the UTI cultured out. Also because Bob had run a fever the night before. My doctor is on vacation, and the PA says no bacteria cultured out.
The fever is...

I speak of my friend Jane, whom I have known for 43 or so years. I will have coffee with her Saturday. Today I had brunch with Beth.
I have not seen her in thirty years. She has moved around some. We have known each other for...

It seems that because Bob is a veteran, the VA may be doing the assessment and will possibly pay me to care for him. I have to call Topeka. I have a name to ask for.
Today is a good day. He was up from about 7:30 to 1:30. He just...

He is actually up and dressed. He should get labs today but it is windy and 16 degrees Fahrenheit. I will go to my appointment. Labs can wait until tomorrow when we have nicer weather.
So today I will meet with the Aging Director...

Our neighbor was worried about the tree continuing to split. You know he worked on it back in the fall, then we did not see hide nor hair of him for ages.
He came over in this wind and cut the problematic parts that were...

The trash can has blown over, and I need to take some more out, but that is not happening yet.
The wind is dreadful, and I am just staying inside.
In fact, I printed some coloring pages and spent some time using color pencils...

I am on my laptop because the desktop will not connect. I am looking out a big front window and watching the trees dancing like maniacs. I am sure the wind is part of the connection problem.
Bob got up early, and I insisted he...

Bob has been up only long enough to drink a nutritional shake and take his morning medicines. He seems more alert though than he has in days. He wanted to lay back down and I was fine with that.
I woke up with muscle spasms,...

The doctor's office called with Bob's results.
The skull CT shows no new damage, no bleeds, no stroke, etc. so that is good.
Much of his blood work is normal. He does have a UTI. They are sending out a general antibiotic while...

Bob has lost about ten pounds since January. He only wants to sleep.
Today they drew labs, and our primary wanted a CT of his head. The ER did one of his cervical spine in his neck.
The doctor says she wants the labs and CT back...

Bob called me a little after 1:00 when he found his phone and figured how to use it.
He fell in the bedroom and gashed his forehead open, and his neck hurt, and his hands felt "fuzzy". He wanted to go to the ER.
So I left work...

Ellen has chickens and she brought me some eggs. I will not say "no" to farm fresh eggs even though I still had quite a few on hand.
So after work last night I hard boiled a lot of eggs, and I also made protein pancakes with...

Bob had his bone marrow biopsy today. I took the day off. We left extra early because it was very foggy outside.
We will not get results and follow up until April 13. I guess we are lucky he is not actively dying of something....
