Heather Echola This is so funny. Our cars do not go to those extremes, just lights for open doors, but if I do not cancel the turn signal in the van it eventually sets off alarm bells.

Heather Echola I grew up at times without a lot. There were not government food programs like now and we never had insurance. I always have food stocked up. Simple foods but you can make a lot with them.

Figuring Out What Temp to Set The Thermostat at Now

Heather Echola I leave my thermostat at 67. It is directly across from one front door, but it is not drafty. Our doors stay open. It is a little cool, but we have heated throws for when we are sitting and a heated mattress pad for the bed.

Heather Echola I do donate. We also usually have a food drive at school for the food bank. In the Head Start part of the school our family advocate has "connections" to get penny day bargains from a certain store and she does that and gives the food to families.
