I did a solid 3.5 hour shift. There were just 3 of us there (plus the lifeguard) for almost 2 hours before a few others showed up. So very strange for a holiday weekend. Maybe everyone went to the beach.
The water felt chilly...

My rule is to ALWAYS check the receipt before I leave the store to make sure all discounts were applied and all prices look correct, etc.
But yesterday, at my favorite Walgreens, I presented a coupon for a $10 reward on a future...

I think about this a lot. I try to maintain good records of which vaccines I've had and when so I don't get confused. My mother-in-law was about to get some twice because the pharmacist recommended them at her age and she'd...

As I’ve mentioned before, my partner gave up alcohol quite a while ago – it must be 5 or 6 years ago already. He tried for a month, and although he used to be quite a keen drinker before, he said he didn’t miss it and was quite...

So what did you end up doing for the 4th? I was hoping someone would call; but it was very quiet until the fireworks started. The guy next door must have spent a gzillion dollars on fireworks because he set them off nonstop for...

We stopped for a coffee in one of the small towns we went through and came across this table in an outside area. Someone has made a Snakes and Ladders board using mosaic chips. Of course, you ‘d need a dice to play a game but...

We just had the longest day of the year - June 21. The shortest day is yet to come - December 21. This is usually what happens each year in the northern hemisphere.
But that's not probably going to be the case this time.
Our...

I absolutely adore blueberries. And what could be better than getting them fresh picked this morning from a friend's berry bushes.
I had forgotten she had blueberry bushes until she called to see if I wanted some. Dale and I rode...

Ahhhh. The humidity is way, way down. It’s a beautiful summer day! I’ll get out and enjoy the sun after lunch, but first I have to give you a little sunshine in the form of another song with “sun” in the title. (Oh, quick...
