Well, I’m home from the fashion parade and had a very enjoyable time although I didn’t buy any clothing. However, I did win not one, but two, prizes.
Before the parade started, we were told to look on the bottom of our small...

Gruffydd Rhydderch You deserve the luck, Judy.
If it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all.

A rhyme!
This was an unplanned casserole, I was planning on making mini-meatloaf bacon wraps but I forgot a very important ingredient at the store - pork panko. I don’t know if my mind goes blank or...

I was thinking earlier about my youngest daughter. Friday, she received a work promotion that is considered to be a big one. She works hard, she is a wife, a mother of two little very active boys, and one of my big sources of...

Gruffydd Rhydderch Nothing to do with this discussion, but I was going to reply to your post about being blocked. Has that been deleted? I am wondering if it’s the same person who recently blocked me (and someone else) for no apparent reason.
As for the discussion - Pride,...

I often find myself looking everywhere for my glasses, only to find that I am still wearing them. Other times I put my hand up to remove my glasses , then I remember I am not wearing them.
Is this just me being silly or do most...

So I had a very interesting dream last night. I owned a house on a tree lined street on a very slight hill. We were going to be doing some redecorating. The wallpaper was white with brown marks here and there.
Across the road...

Gruffydd Rhydderch Morning Shazza!
You’re dreaming more than you are going to Tesco now! What’s going on?
I think you are dreaming of moving house, or at least looking at houses to move to.
I’m a light switheroffer. I worry about the cost of electricity, so I sometimes...

I remember on the 13th of last month, there was free kidney screening at a neighbouring hospital. My weight was 73 kgs. I was told I was overweight.
So I decided to walk as a way of exercising. I walked 40 minutes every evening...

So today we have the genesis of rock and roll with Elvis in 1954. Then we go forward 30 years to see what evolved from that. What a way to celebrate a birthday, huh? This is just a little different ...

Gruffydd Rhydderch This was later in their career. They started in the 60’s, but came to fame during the British Glam Rock era of the 70’s, along with other great bands such as The Sweet, T, Rex, and Mud. Great times for me as a teenager.
I’m surprised this was their only hit...

I thought visiting a nature reserve on my own would have been easy but I regretted not carrying a machete as I made my way through the jungle.
I heard birds and I wanted to see birds, but I wasn't lucky. My luck must have been...

Hi guys, I'm doing a quicky-job for a customer and all I had to do was set up a fake Twit account and Like/Repost some stuff for a few weeks. Right now, I'm getting the account going by following randoms and trying to make it look...

So, I was looking at some umbrellas as part of a task I was doing online. One was 29.99 windproof and available in several different colors. That too me is too much to pay. Of course I have two umbrellas already and don't need...

I’ve always wanted to do this, for years and years and years.
As some of you may know, I’ve been working, and saving, for appliances and furniture for my own place. I already have the place, but it’s completely empty. No moving...

What's the remedy?
I dread taking ice cream now because my teeth feel "pain". The ice cream is too cold and when it comes in contact with my teeth, I feel something similar to pain.
I'm wondering how I will enjoy eating ice...

Gruffydd Rhydderch It’s God’s punishment for eating something naughty.

We all scream, for ice cream!

There is a saying ‘Boys will be boys’ and my friend’s son and three of his friends made a grave error of judgement once and ‘did a runner’. That is, they left a local restaurant without paying. They thought it would be funny and...

I enjoy hearing who the oldest people are in the world. Gives me hope I guess. They give the silliest reasons for having lived so long. George Burns lived to be 100 and says he had a cigar every day of his life.
The oldest man in...

I think that the English language is so interesting. I always did well in this subject in school. When I look up a word it is so interesting to me to see what the word is derived from. What language that is.
I have been working...

Gruffydd Rhydderch I often get effect and affect confused. Big and large are the same aren’t they? Opposite of little. There was a comedy double act here in the UK called Little and Large. Syd Little and Eddie Large. Large was bigger than Little. Of course it could have been the...

Gruffydd Rhydderch Lucky you. Here in the UK, it was only a very partial eclipse, but because we have cloud cover, there is nothing to be seen. Last one I saw was in 1999, and that was quite impressive. I don’t think I’ll be here in 20 years, if that’s the next occurrence.
