Apparently, according to a report I was reading this morning, someone has been paid to compile a list of things that people should do at least once .....
I probably will quote more over the coming days , but these are a few...

Max Crisp I’ve done all of those things.
I think everyone should make a list at least once in their life.

So, last week, knowing I was going to be here at the caravan for two weeks I bought two tubs of ice-cream
Raspberry ripple for when I was here alone, and chocolate for the two weekends The Mister was going to be here.
All was...

Max Crisp I’ve not had chocolate ice cream in a long while. I used to like Neapolitan, which is (or was) chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. I’m not even sure you can still get it?
Anyway, I’m sure you’ll finish off the tub. Ice cream doesn’t travel well, and it would...

I am calling the ‘knot’ in the photo an example of an ‘endless knot’. The endless knot is a sacred symbol with deep roots in Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism and Chinese culture.
The photo is of a mat that was on the training sailing...

I have just read a post on a page on FB where a lady said her grown up children forget her Birthday and she doesn't say anything to them .Several people commented, including a lady who called her a doormat !
Obviously, this upset...

Max Crisp I don’t post anything personal online, so this isn’t really relevant to me. However, if you tend to block people who disagree with you, eventually you will end up blocking everyone. This is because we may think we have the same views as someone else, but there...

To no one’s surprise, we have an air quality alert here in the land of the Kentucky Derby. I was wondering why I needed extra albuterol for asthma control yesterday, then I said, “Duh!” I pray the good people in Canada can get...

Hey everyone, how are you all doing?
My son has been obsessed with technology and playing games for years now. Recently, he wanted either a gaming computer, or to get the parts and build one himself.
It did seem cheaper to go...

It's Thursday morning. July 16th. My dad would have been 81 today. It's his first birthday not here. I know that he's not in pain anymore but it still hurts.
I got the text yesterday saying that I'm not needed today, her words...

I had to answer this question on a survey one day. I gave myself a 4 percent chance, but really there are so many variables with that. I think a 4 to 14 percent chance is more realistic. I do have relatives that have lived to be...

So far at 33 minutes there is no score. The game is between Spain and Argentina.Jennifer Hudson sang a dramatic rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, and the miliary guard was there. I liked the parade of flags and live...

Max Crisp I watched it. Terrible game, but the right team won.
Normally football matches don’t have hydration breaks and extended half-time intervals, but I guess that’s the American way. Lots of razzamatazz. It was a bit strange seeing Ronaldo and Ronaldinho driving...

4:01am here in Manila, Monday, July 20.
Watching the World Cup 2026 Finals between Spain and Argentina.
Wanted to watch it in a sports bar but couldn't find a decent one near me. Ended up watching online. Not bad. Half-time now....

I was really proud of the Green Bay inspired chess et that I did for a friend but I like this one too.
I wanted to do a simple set but it also had to be patriotic with red, white and blue.
So the board is a mix of those three...

Oh my days, it has got very windy here.
Earlier I heard a loud bump ...I peeped round the curtain to see what had happened.
The wind had blown the plastic chair over. The one we keep on the balcony at the caravan.
That's all...

Max Crisp I wouldn’t keep plastic tables and chairs outside in the UK. It’s always windy, and more so I think these days. You need heavy metal furniture outside and a nice soft cushion to sit on, which is best tied to the chair.
I once tried putting a shed together in...

Who could resist such a beautifully heart shaped bell pepper?
Unfortunately, couldn't keep it that way forever. Our cook had to cut it up and served us with...
